Lacks Functionality

Good browser but using the features breaks the websites when searching. The inability to use the “vertical tabs” option is also a hindrance. I do appreciate the soft update to the UI, but customization options are still subpar compared to competitors. The performance has improved but could be contributed to the iOS 26.6.1 update.

Swiping left to right to close tab in the grid view not working

Overall good desige, just unable to close tab by swiping from left to right on the tab in the grid view, which most browsers can do.

Great browser, yet it needs more customization options

Fast, lightweight, reliable and private. Yet it would be nice to have an option to change the Home Page background and some alternative app icons too.

Good but not consistent

I’ve used this browser for over 6 months but I’m switching back to Brave. It had weird slowness navigating to new pages on existing tabs. I like it but not stable enough for every day use.

Totalverlust ohne Vorwarnung – zweimal hintereinander

Handy kurz aus der Hand gelegt, wieder aufgenommen: Browser komplett zurückgesetzt. Alle offenen Tabs weg, kompletter Verlauf weg, sämtliche Lesezeichen weg, alle gespeicherten Daten weg. Wie frisch installiert. App neu gestartet, iPhone neu gestartet – nichts kommt zurück. Keine Fehlermeldung, keine Warnung, keine Nutzeraktion.

Aktuelles iOS, keine Bastelei, kein Speicherplatzproblem, kein Beta-System. Einfach weg, beides.

Response from developer

--- Thank you for the detailed report, and we're sorry you lost your tabs, bookmarks and history. That is not expected behavior, and a sync that erases the only remaining data is a bug we need to look into. It would be extremely helpful, and we would be very grateful, if you could give us all the details you have at your disposal on our forum at orionfeedback.org.

Super Buggy | Blank Tabs

Orion is horrible, particularly with the extensions. Dark Reader and other extensions will stop working once app is in background, this can happen within 60 seconds. The only fix is to completely close out the app and reopen, rinse and repeat. There is also no one to Mass-Add Tabs (Bookmark All Tabs is missing). Storage is not full, so that has nothing to do with it and this is on an iOS 18+/26 Device.

Bugs don’t get fixed

Orion has had a bug for over a year that causes search results to not be shown unless you open and close the tab switcher. There are discussions about this on Reddit from months ago but the developer is either unaware or doesn’t care. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but the issue persists.

I am switching to the Quiche browser

Exactly what I needed!

Been using this app for a year now. It supports Chrome, Firefox and local extensions. I tweak/create local extensions to block doom scrolling features and annoyances on social media

Great But Buggy

It's nice to be able to use real extensions.

Annoying bugs like tabs freezing make certain web based activities unusable.

A promising WebKit alternative

I’ve been using Orion across macOS, iPadOS, and iOS, and it’s very welcoming to see you guys choose WebKit instead of creating yet another Chromium-based browser. With Firefox declining every day, Orion feels like one of the few meaningful alternatives keeping the browser-engine landscape diverse.

A few suggestions:

Orion already supports Chrome and Firefox extensions well, but I think you should consider creating a WebKit-native or Orion Extension Store. This could give developers a dedicated ecosystem for building and distributing extensions specifically for Orion.

I’d also love to see a search box on the start page. Without one, the start page can feel a little too much like Safari.

Finally, the iOS and iPadOS start pages lack the background customization available on macOS. Adding this would make the experience more polished and consistent across platforms.

Overall, I really like the direction Orion is taking and look forward to future updates.

Thanks for the 4-star review, and for the kind words about the engine choice. Bringing start page background customization on iOS and iPadOS in line with macOS is something we'd like to do, and a search field on the start page is a fair ask too. A dedicated extension store is a much bigger conversation, but one worth having. If you could post those three ideas at orionfeedback.org and describe how you'd want each to work, that's the kind of detail that shapes what gets built.

Tabs

I don’t need 3 different ways to close a tab displayed at all times. Swiping right on a tab was perfectly fine. Now there are multiple ways to accidentally close tabs just by scrolling. Annoying change that also looks bad

I don’t like the changes

I liked the browser before. I don’t like the changes with the latest update. I hate the bar at the bottom and I miss being able to see at a glance what tabs I have open. I don’t like clicking the tab button. My eyes do not look at the bottom for my stuff, they look at the top, so the bar at the bottom is frustrating.

Is possible to bring ublock origin ?

That will be greates browser to make the unlock origin work perfectly. Will it come? Thanks !

Great app

First Nice Work.
actually only blocked in desktop mode can fixit thanks

Tool bar location

I really enjoy this browser but the latest update puts the tool bar at the bottom of the screen which is confusing and inefficient. Is there a setting to move it back to the top?

Something changed

Used to be fantastic but ever since the latest OS update it’s getting laggier and laggier and constantly freezing. Tried clearing caches, changing settings, always keeps happening. Love all the other Kagi offerings though but unfortunately I had to switch back to a different browser on my phone.

Good direction

I recently switched to iPad for coding. This browser is awesome. There still a lot to do, i missing sidebar tabs badly. And I would love to see some sort of Inspect element eventually. Overall amazing experience, it is the closest thing that comes to a real browser.

Peak but please bring back old gui

Please add an option in the settings to bring back the old gui, since the Liquid Glass design can be somewhat inconvenient on the iPad, and an option to use the old ui, with its tabs on top and no Liquid Glass and all would be a huge help.

Amazing Tool with Quirks

Indispensable in an ad laden world. Struggles a bit with dynamic type on IOS

Finally I don’t have to deal with YouTube Shorts Brainrot!

After getting rid of shorts on desktop via chrome extensions, and the YouTube app to discourage shorts further, I finally permanently removed the brainrot inducing stain on humanity that is YouTube shorts thanks to this browser’s support for extensions!
