Marks episodes as played, even when not
I follow about ten or so shows and I play them in the order in which they are published. I’m constantly finding that the app has marked episodes as played even when I haven’t heard them yet. In my experience, of the 15 or so new, un-listened to episodes wind up being auto-marked as played. Then, my watch stops playing my list because it thinks I listened to them all already. Then I have to manually select a show / episode to listen to (which is not easy to do on the little watch screen while working out).

Well, it doesn’t actually sync anything or download, what else is there to say

Downloaded this recently without noticing that it hasn’t been updated in two years. You know what? It still works great. The only thing keeping me from making it my primary podcast app is the lack of a sleep timer.
Can only add podcasts through opml
Every podcast I add individually by URL says “Invalid podcast URL entered”. The same URLs work fine on other podcast players.
Do I have to manually download episodes?
Will edit this review after testing properly. I can't see any way to specify download x number of latest podcasts per subscription and have a total limit of y. Like all other podcast apps I have tried. Do I have to decide what to download manually everytime?
I got this because of apple podcasts idiotic behaviour requiring me to actually turn off the phone to connect airpods to the watch instead of airplay from phone. Hope it solved that

Almost perfect
I love that this is a proper standalone player on watchOS and not just a lame remote control for the iOS app. I really wanted an app I could use without having my phone on me at all times. I don’t mind manually adding episodes to the download list using my phone but I wish the phone app would check for new episodes on its own. As it is now I have all my podcasts setup in the Apple Podcasts app so that it keeps me up to date and shows me a notification when a new episode is available. Then I open Outcast to manually refresh my subscriptions and add them to the download list on my Watch. It works ok but it’s pretty clunky.

it’s a shame
I really, really, want to love this app. it fill a need.
But, as others have mentioned, it RANDOMLY SKIPS BACK (like 20 minutes) without warning. So, all of a sudden you realize you’ve heard this before, and YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHERE YOU WERE.
