App not ready yet … do not update firmware it will never work. They really need to start over.

God I miss Nest. Never ever had any issues with the Nest protector, this lame excuse is barely functional. Constantly have to hard reset. Now bricked itself after trying do a software update. Going back to a simple Dumb smoke detector
Terrible execution of features
This app is unfortunately laughable. It seems to have quite a delay, built into it as when I toggle on and off different features of this smoke detector, they don’t instantly take affect, and they end up affecting other settings. Tried turning off notifications, but then it turns on notifications instead, etc. I’ve now updated the firmware three times in the past hour and it’s still telling me that there are firmware updates available. There’s also no way to turn notifications for an active alarm off when connected to HomeKit, but nothing in their documentation mentions that. This forces me to use this app, which is terrible. This might be returned as I’m not sure how much faith I can put in a company for home, protect protection of fire and carbon monoxide when they can’t even get a basic app correct.

Worst App Ever
I can’t even begin to describe what a hot mess this app is. I’ve seen some bad ones but this one seems like it was written by a grade schooler. I could not create an account with owl after 4 tries. God forbid if you use a vpn when trying. Every step was a pain. Didn’t even get to the step to add it to Apple Home. I’m going to try to get a refund from Owl. The smoke detector itself seems okay but its no good as a dumb device.

Tons of Bugs
Still surprising to see software like this for a company at this stage. Setup was a mess, HomeKit integration isn’t working.
