Does NOTHING without subscription
Solid VNC client, but with an irritating quirk
The one super irritating quirk I have found is that when one creates a custom connection the connection description is auto-corrected. I don’t know whether that’s from iOS or from the app itself, but when one has multiple connections with non-dictionary server names this “feature” can definitely cause issues. In some cases I have had to edit my connection to correct a server description as many as three times.
To the developers I offer a feature request: please disable auto correction when one is entering server names and connection descriptions. It would be a great help for those of us who don’t rely on dictionary names.
Response from developer
Thanks for pointing this out! Screens 5.9 is now available and disables autocorrection for connection names and descriptions, so this behaviour should now be fixed. We hope you'll consider updating your rating once you've had a chance to try the new version. If you run into anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us at screens@edovia.com — we're always happy to help. Thanks for using Screens!
Intermittent disconnections
Response from developer
Hi! Sorry you're experiencing this. Screens 5 should not repeatedly disconnect like this, and this is most likely related to the connection or configuration rather than expected behaviour. Please contact us from Screens > Settings > Help > Support Request and send a diagnostics report. We'll be happy to investigate what's causing the disconnections and help get things working properly. Cheers!
