Best for Insteon cameras.
When Smarthome closed I was instantly left with many unusable cameras. I tried several solutions requiring typing long url strings with little success. Owlr discovered all my different cameras and configured them automatically. Amazing! Love the ease and the interface. Bravo!
Not a fan
I installed this app and added one of my cameras. Tried it out and am going to uninstall it.
Touching the video image performs a tilt/pan control. You can’t disable that and is very annoying / nuisance as this accidentally happens frequently.
No camera specific controls for preset positions, night vision on/off etc.
This is as basic as it gets.

Constant Requests to Share Location
Asking once would be acceptable but this app asks to share your location every time you use the app. Users who know how to configure IP cameras have no need for this feature. Would recommend using a different app to access IP cameras.
Works great!
I have tried my share of ip cam apps and this one works great. Only flaw is that I can’t get PTZ to work on two Trendnet cameras. No big deal- I only have had one app that did and I still like this one better.

Unresponsive
I downloaded this app because of the somewhat good reviews so that I can use with an indoor security camera. There are only a select few cameras this app is compatible with. It states in the app that if you need a particular camera brand added all you have to do is email them. I sent multiple emails in hopes of at least getting a response if the camera was compatible or not. Crickets!!! No response to any of the emails. The app does have tutorials, but they are confusing. It needs to a lot of work. I would not recommend this app if you are not familiar with the terminology related to security camera systems.

It’s back to its wonderful old self, a great app for monitoring the video webcams in one’s life.
None of their Apps work
I’ve tried every version of their OWLR Apps and none of them work with my $1,000 Axis cameras - not even their Axis specific version of the App. All I ever get is a pop up saying “ummmm .... there’s a problem with your credentials.” Um - No there isn’t. It’s the same credentials I’m using for half a dozen other IP Camera Apps that all connect just fine. I’ve reached out to their support numerous times over the years for help .... crickets. The AppleStore pictures look nice tho so I guess they get maybe a star for that part.

Great app! Easy to set up easy to use. Was much better than I thought it was going to be. They even have more features than the original company I got the cameras from highly recommend

Can run only if allow location access. Bad ideea since It is needed only to discover cameras. I know my URLs so it should not be needed.
Cannot log in into my Axis cameras. Does not support encrypted passwords. Really?

Bad costumer support.
Never buy a camera from this company again. They stop phone support and the only way you can receive support is by chatting. There company is in China and it takes weeks to get help. Phone support takes 5 min. This company would rather save there money.
Wow! Easy setup!
This app automatically sensed my 6 Foscam ip cameras (installed 3 or so years ago) and only needed my camera login name and password to get set up. No need to enter the IP address or router port numbers! Easily accessed pan and tilt controls and simple button to snap pictures.

The app will not allow access away from my home network. I went through the FAQs verified everything is correct.
No HTTPS Support
Not sure what date and age OWLR is in. However especially in 2019 everything is pretty much HTTPS, however OWLR still doesn’t support it. Yet you want to charge people an arm and a leg in your subscription. I find that laughable.

If I remember correctly and people can Google this, you said the same things 3 years ago. I didn’t know an item on priority list takes 3 years to developer and it’s still not available. I know you are a small dev, but 3 years for the most basic function where all Other Dev has the first day is laughable. Let’s see how many years it will take before you develop https. In the meantime I will just switch to another app that just works.

I can get it to work on my other apps but with OWLR in the setup it doesn’t ask for a user name and password? Only the dons website. Can I do this via OWLR??

Excellent app
After trying other apps I came across this one Owl is absolutely great
Excellent software, found and setup my camera correctly first try
I was looking for an app to connect to an old video camera, Wanscam 4020A2. This app found it and once I gave it the user ID and password, it was up and running. Even the panning controls worked.

Configuration is as simple
I didn’t expect that it can be that easy to configure my Foscam is camera. I was using the other app by Foscam itself and they are not able to detect the camera in my network. Where this app just like that it scan and list my both cameras in a minute and allow to configure very easily.

Nice cameras app
I enjoy using this app. I can move my cameras from anywhere on this planet to get better angles and best at all I can talk to my family while I’m on travel. Very reliable.
Missing one feature, but otherwise good app
Great looking, clean and responsive app that updates regularly. Only thing it lacks is the ability to control the zoom on my Foscam R2. Not sure if the function is there for any other PTZ capable camera models, but it’s not for the R2. Please OWLR, we need the zoom feature!

Great App
Very pleased with OWLR been using it for several weeks gets even better with each update. I’m using Lorex 5- 4K IP cameras the Video is great the ease of use and setup of OWLR really shows the dedication put into development great job! Looking forward to new releases
