Etsyで購入した商品の配送状況を確認しようとしたところ、追跡画面でこのアプリが必要かのように表示されていたため、インストールしました。
ところが、起動するとすぐに「無料体験」の案内が表示され、その後は週2,000円の「Packy Pro」サブスクリプションへの登録を促されました。不審に思ってすぐ閉じ、無料のまま利用しようとしましたが、肝心の追跡情報は何も表示されませんでした。
おかしいと思ってレビューを確認したところ、同様の被害報告が多数あり、星1レビューだらけ。後から確認すると、配送状況はEtsyのアプリ・サイト内で普通に確認でき、このアプリはまったく必要ありませんでした。
なぜこのような紛らわしいアプリが、あたかも配送確認に必要であるかのように表示されるのか理解できません。結果として、Etsy自体の信頼性にも疑問を感じてしまいました。
同じように勘違いしてインストールしてしまう人が増えないことを願います。

Had it for 2 minutes before I realized that you need to pay 12 dollars a month to track a single package. Why waste time naming a subscription "Packy Pro" when there isnt a standard free version. Makes no sense.
Misleading ads
I downloaded this app because the advertisement clearly showed real-time package tracking on a map with step-by-step updates. Unfortunately, the app does not provide this feature at all. The advertisement creates expectations that the app simply does not meet. This feels misleading and is a waste of users’ time. If a feature is advertised, it should actually be available in the app. I hope the developers either implement the advertised functionality or make their advertising more accurate and transparent.
