Terrible app

Cannot tick Ts& Cs to login & drop down menu inaccessible

Courts are overpriced

The courts are extremely expensive

Awful all

Usually I’d never bother to review an app, but this one is just so uniquely slow and unintuitive that I have to say: don’t bother downloading this. Booked a court? Good luck finding the booking. Always go to the same padel location? No problem, the homepage will show you all of the locations. Who designed this garbage?

Shocking app

App is awful to use, couldn’t be any less user friendly, impossible to work out where you have booked and no confirmation. Hopeless designers

Extremely Poor

Why on earth had this app not been properly updated in a year?

Desperately needs an easy way to filter for open matches and activities at your club that
A) are suitable for your handicap; and
B) have space available.

There is no way the user should have to enter these filters every time.

The Open Matches page needs to have the dates across the top so the user can select a specific date rather than scroll through from today to a date some time in the future. On which subject, the scrolling should be perpetual - the user should not have to click a “More” button.

Why on earth does it allow you to click through to set up a new Open Match 14 days plus some hours but then not allow you to add any players? If you cannot yet add players to a match because it is too early then you should not be able to click through to the set up match screen.

Why does the Open Matches tab default to the alphabetically-listed first club, rather than default to my home club like every other tab?

How on earth does a court show up as a red blob for three half-hour slots in a row? It is either booked out, in which case it should be blobbed and greyed-point, or it should be available for one and a half hours, in which case the first of the three blobs should be green.

No one gets their notifications in the app since the alerts are too discrete. Unless all users are forced to turn on notifications so they get an Apple notification upon receipt of a message within the app then the in-app messaging is utterly useless.

If you are going to insist that customers use an app rather than a webpage the onus is on you to build a decent app. This one is poor. There is also no iPad version, which is pretty unforgivable given how easy it is to convert an iPhone app to iPad.

An iPad app would allow you to view your schedule and the free courts simultaneously on the same screen.

In the absence of an iPad app on the smaller iPhone screen the hamburger menu should open a slide-over window, so that when you view your schedule via the hamburger menu you can then click on the background window you were previously viewing (ie in most cases the ‘Book A Court’ window). In the current version you have to click more than once to get back to Book a Court. Particularly, since the carousel of Book a Court / Activities / Open Matches is bloody irritating, since it inevitably moves to the next option just as you press on it.

And I still have no idea how to work the waiting list function. Should there not just be an extra ‘Court’ or set of times below the actual Courts on the “Book a Court” screen where one clicks to join the waiting list for a free court when all the actual courts are already booked?

If you really wanted to add value you’d let a user book a court and select potential other players in order and the app would then prompt each of the potential players in order until it had assembled a foursome.

Awful experience

I never rate apps, but I made an exception for this.
It is borderline impossible to use the app to do anything you want.
Trying to input scores for a game is very hard to find, trying to find details of a booking you have made is very illogical, I could go on…
Please fix it, if another padel club opens near me and it uses Playtomic I will switch purely because of the app experience.

Inept app and customer service

Signed up but immediately the login details didn’t work. Tried several times resetting password but keep getting error messages. Never had an email confirmation from them. Never respond to online requests or direct emails. Terrible app and terrible customer service. Find a Playtronic site instead.

App not functioning

Signed up multiple times with the same email and phone, still won’t let me login… useless

Doesn’t work at all

Won’t let you even create an account, would give 0 stars if I could

Inferior to Playtomic in every way

I know that club owners don’t like Playtomic because they take a small cut of bookings, but as a player I much prefer the Playtomic app. The Padelstars just isn’t user friendly. Like even simple things like filtering dates or player ratings aren’t possible. I even have to repeatedly select the club I am playing at to see matches at the right place.

This is just a review for app, place is great

I think the centre in Southampton is great but the app is awful.
Badly designed and just randomly goes back to the home page when you book anything or add yourself to a waiting list. But the worst thing is the app has randomly stopped notifying me of available places, when I add myself to these lists and it doesn’t email either. So I have know idea when they come up, unless I open the app and see there’s an alert. Tried deleting app thinking phone would know password. But sadly it didn’t and I’ve gone through the app to reset password and sure enough ‘no email received’. So in essence the centre is great but the app is rubbish. Which doesn’t make sense as the app is at the forefront of the centre as it controls all the players who book on and play.

Awful app

The App UI is horrible, its all over the place, you can’t scroll through available dates properly. Membership options etc. are not there, certain menus are hidden. Horrible stuff

Awful compared to others

I really can’t tell you how bad this app is. Such simple things aren’t in place, eg you book a court and add 3 friends. The 3 friends don’t even get a notification of the booking and can’t even see the booking. Also when you book a court it’s literally impossible to find the booking on the app and see the details. Also why wouldn’t you have the ability for each player to pay for their share of the booking !?!

How do you sign up?

Can’t even get to the sign up part. How am I supposed to do that? I can’t login as I can’t sign up!

Hard work

App is pretty messy, things don’t flow easily, filtering matches needs to be improved

Dreadful

Compared to other Padel platforms, such as Playtomic, this app is well below par. Every function seems anti-user friendly, whether it be splitting payments between players, searching opponents profiles or just generally navigating around the app. Every aspect needs developing as this app really is awful.

Won’t let me log in

Have tried to register twice.. doesn’t allow me to log in - registration process is terrible and layout to capture details poor. What does Primary site mean ? Why is the house number after the address? Zip code - don’t you mean post-code?

Poor app

The app is not user friendly. It also lacks basic information as to what the various membership options actually give you. Furthermore, an icon appeared on the screen with no explanation as to what it meant.
I have contacted padelstars and to share my thoughts and their response was friendly and helpful. However, in my opinion, the app needs further development.

Terrible app

This app is shocking, not user friendly and trying to compete with Playtomic but lacks real basics.
