Amazing

I used PADI Training to become a certified open water diver at 11 years!! Looking forward to exploring other courses and learning more about the underwater world!!

Just not working

This app makes me crazy I did the full course two times already and it still does not sync my progress. So I am not able to do the exam! I was not able to start my diving course on time because of this! Even the diving school could not help me with it!

I am super disappointed in the whole padi organisation being this unprofessional and not being able to provide a working app in 2025!!!

Loses progress state

If you leave the app open in the background it eventually crashes when foregrounded and loses all accumulated progress state.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Great Training, Slightly Commercial”

I recently completed my PADI Open Water certification and had a fantastic overall experience. The course materials were well-structured, the instructors were professional and patient, and the emphasis on safety gave me real confidence underwater. The flexibility of the online learning portion was also a huge plus. My only critique is that at times it felt a bit commercial—there’s a lot of branded gear and upselling. Still, I’d definitely recommend PADI to anyone starting their scuba journey.

App simply doesn’t work. When trying to download the course getting alert „Scorm package is not ready” and that’s about it.

I’m quivering with rage at this app

I don’t mean to sound ungrateful or like I’m a kicking a poorly reviewed app when it’s down. But this is the most infuriating piece of garbage app that I have ever had the displeasure to download. The inability to complete courses when it’s downloaded off line and then simultaneously not alerting you to the fact that these aren’t completed has made me want to fly to the founder of PADI’s house and kick them in the face.

It will almost certainly be forgotten by 99% of people who use this app as they will be caught up in the beauty of SCUBA. However this app is a scorn on the animals and wildlife that live beneath the waves and I highly encourage any marine life reading this to take arms and begin a siege on PADI HQ to find those responsible for this travesty.

Can’t take the corse

App is buggy and won’t let me take the corse until I select a dive center but won’t load the map.

Works pretty good

It works pretty good but there is one bug and that’s when you tap on a video. It does not show the video it just has the audio but then if you click off the video and then click back on it will load. I don’t know why this error is like this, but everything else is very high-quality.

Crashes and loses data

This app has crashed and lost all my logged dives several times, it’s really really annoying. SSI etc don’t have this problem.

App Crashes

I had to log my dives on the website. Pictures don’t appear on the app either?
The app also didn’t recognise my instructed both the website did.
This app needs fixing

A lot of content but there are better ways to learn

The app crashes constantly (white scree)
I have to regularly restart the course, choose my language etc.
There are no bookmarks or ways to note where you stopped. If I open a chapter it is instantly marked as read (with a read checkmark) and there is no way to see which questions I already answered.

I think it would be great to take this stuff to a new level. Look for example at Codecademy, Duolingo etc.

Not sure why reviews are so low. good app

While you do have to download the content, it just takes a second or two. My only issue with this is that you need service or wifi to log in, so even if you have downloaded the content, you can’t do it offline which is inconvenient while traveling. Don’t count on doing your work on a flight or out of the country. That is the only reason I don’t give 5 stars, it would be really great if u could do it offline.
Otherwise the app is totally functional and much easier to use than the website on a phone. Idk why the reviews are so low, I’ve had no issues with it crashing and it seems to save my progress well. the website doesn’t work for my iPhone so I’m glad I have the app.

Die App hat bei unserem Urlaub reibungslos funktioniert. An einen akuten Absturz kann ich mich nicht erinnern.

Die PADI App funktioniert

Es gab immer wieder Probleme mit dieser App. Als ich IOS auf allen meinen Geräten aktualisierte, ging alles endlich, wie es sollte. Das eLearning finde ich inhaltlich und gestalterisch top. Der Zugriff ist lebenslang inklusive aller Aktualisierungen. Die Veröffentlichung in den verschiedenen Sprachen sollte schneller gehen. Einige Kurse gibt es leider noch nicht auf deutsch.
