… ist Page Echo tatsächlich erst seit kurzer zeit, seit dem Tag nämlich, als die Entwickler die sprachlich äußerst multiple SuperTonic-Engine in Page Echo integriert und damit ein Werkzeug geschaffen haben, dass für den einmaligen Abo-Preis von Kurz vor 35 Euro einen Komfort beim konsumieren digitaler Bücher und anderer Publikationen bietet, den andere Apps dieser Art bis heute ganz einfach nicht haben. Das beginnt bei dem einerseits denkbar einfach zu handhabenden und andererseits enorm mächtigen und flexiblen Management-System von Büchern und Dokumenten, setzt sich mit den verfügbaren Modellen KI-generierter Stimmen in vielen Sprachen fort, geht mit sehr ausgereiften Übersetzungsroutinen für gerade geöffnete Inhalte weiter und, speziell für blinde und sehbehinderte Leute, enthält ein sehr konsequent umgesetztes Konzept der optimalen Nutzbarkeit mit Apples Bedienungshilfen, hier insbesondere VoiceOver und Zoom. Man muss die echte Positiv-Power dieser App einfach mal selbst erlebt haben. Dann fällt einem anschließend fast schon gar nicht mehr auf, dass die gesamte Be- und Verarbeitung von Daten, während man Page Echo benutzt, völlig ohne externe Server oder Clout-Anbindungen, sondern konsequent auf dem eigenen Mobilgerät (iPhone oder iPad) stattfindet.

Pretty good, just needs more pricing optiona... I'm not particularly interested in paying a whole year up front.

A Game-Changer for Students and Researchers!

This app is incredible for academia. The ability to upload PDFs and EPUBs and then use the on-device AI to generate chapter summaries or ask questions about the text is like having a personal tutor. It’s perfect for digesting complex papers and books without any distraction. And the fact that everything is 100% private and works offline is a massive plus for studying anywhere.

Great so far

Hi, very promising so far. Any plans to implement supertonic 2? Or is that the current model? Asking because supertonic 1 was known for skipping words etc. Also please implement the coreml optimized version of supertonic 2 if possible for additional efficiency and speed gains. I sent an email to your feedback email.

Great so far

Great all, congrats to the dev on being one of the first to implement supertonic and kokoro models. Only issue if that sometimes they still sound robotic and skip words/mess up pronunciations. Really hoping this can be fixed in the future or that other models can be implemented in the future (as things progress). Will definitely be purchasing.

Favorite TTS App

I think I've tried every iOS TTS app and PageEcho is my new favorite. The voices are excellent, it supports all the types of documents I use (web article, PDF and ePub), has iCloud sync and it works offline, which is very important to me and not supported by most TTS apps. The developer has been very responsive and quick to make enhancements or fixes. I was happy to purchase a Premium license.

Very promising app

wish the app actually shows or highlights which page is it is reading out. whenever i press the play button it goes to the first page but reads the content from the page i was on.

We apologize for the inconvenience. - The Supertonic TTS model can be downloaded from the TTS settings screen and used only for ‘English’ books. It can be configured in the settings. I think this issue should not occur in the latest version. (For reference, Apple's system TTS currently operates for languages other than English.) - The option to import Kindle books is included in our current development plans. Great reading app!

Really enjoying this app so far. It’s simple, clean, and the text-to-speech works surprisingly well. I love that I can read or listen anytime without the app feeling cluttered. Definitely handy for keeping all my books in one place.

Need improvements

Bought a lifetime purchase, the app doesn’t recognize it and even after restoring the purchase it just doesn’t update. TTS model switches to default Apple voice, no matter how many times I switch it. I wish developers add an option to import my kindle books.

항상 영어 원서 읽을때 문장 복사해서 번역하던 저에게 꼭 갖고싶던 앱입니다.
아이폰 기본 번역으로 영어 원서 책이 바로 번역되는건 대박이네요
게다가 책뿐만 아니라 논문도 바로 볼 수 있는게 너무 좋습니다 폰으로는 일일이 다운받아서 옮겨서 파일눌러서 봤어야 했는데 한번에 모아서 바로 열어 볼 수 있으니까 너무 좋아요!!!!!!
