Pushing Subscriptions
You pay a huge premium for your Apple Hardware only to find Apple want to force you into spending more money for something that was “free” If you don’t pay for it you are reminded continually about it with no function to just say “I’m not interested in Apple Creative Cloud” Space is wasted by buttons for features you have to pay to enable. It’s just a mess.
If you keep the old version, then you’re continually nudged to upgrade.

Pages was ok for free…
Look I only used pages when I finished school and no longer had 365, but man the feature locking and bad design is unforgivable. This is giving iOS 18 all over again. Things nobody asked for being shoved in and making me consider open source software that, unlike Apple these days, “just works”.

I’ve been using it since I started writing digitally, and find the tools provided are a must-have. It’s simple but effective, and my only complaint would be the writing up levelling that word has. I will not give it a lower rating, as it may already have that feature and I just don’t know about it!
Loved it till it deleted everything
Been using Pages for a few years as it’s on most my apple devices . A few days ago I opened Pages to continue writing my book, mostly everything gone. Just some stuff about five years old listed. Nothing in trash, no links of Page docs to iCloud. I cannot tell you how high my stress levels went. Logged onto iCloud via my Mac, some documents still there. I only have one iCloud account but it is like I had two. Anything I only accessed via my iPad gone. Documents that I had also opened on my Mac or MacBook had been backed up to iCloud. I still can’t get my head around how this happened, it was like if Time Machine had been activated from when I first bought my iPad.
Needless to say I will not use or recommend Pages from now on.

The worst app
Don’t use this app,it has zero advantages, compering to the same type of product from other developers, it’s lagging all the time.
I liked it but then they got update happy and ruined it
I used to love Pages. It was much better than Word and I was glad it was free. Now apparently with the new version there are parts that aren’t free which sucks but I haven’t run into it being an issue. My main issue is that it shuts down randomly and often. I’m a writer of novels and it did this to me last week while writing. Fortunately it only missed saving a sentence but had it done it a few minutes before I saved it would have deleted a whole chapter. I also noticed formatting issues. I don’t know what you did to this great app but you are lucky I’m not giving you one star and that’s only because up until this recent update I was in love with it. I am switching to libreoffice and hoping for the best there. If you ever fix your issues then maybe I will return.

PERFECT
I use this to write music and try to create songs and it helps me so much with that because I used to just write them on paper but kept loosing them and it helps me a lot with beats because each beat is a new color and it helps me soooo much
NOT an Improvement; Apple Pages Has Digressed . . . this means less sales for you, Apple!
Once the Premier word processor, Pages has gone far downhill. What you used to be able to do in 3 clicks now takes 15 clicks. Example: changing the font face becomes a major operation because it takes so many clicks, then changes many other factors. Also, the program interface itself has become so convoluted it seems that it was designed by someone with a mental illness. The 2009 iWork version of Pages was far superior, they should go back to that, or offer it as a legacy version that will work with today’s systems. Not hard to too, but will Apple do it? Doubtful.

The freedom to design an place images and text where ever you want and the integration with Numbers makes this my go to for drafting anything!

The new layout is fine and all, and it’s still a pretty good app for writing documents. I don’t see the need for an entirely new app though, they didn’t really change the fundamentals of pages, just its appearance and some new content that’s locked behind a paywall. I also don’t really like the paywall in itself, it seems like Apple is just trying to get more money off of pages and its other apps lately. Also, recently with the new update the paragraph hyphenation option has been permanently checked on, at least for me. And not only am I not used to seeing the annotations, italics, underlining, etc. don’t show up for me anymore. What I mean is I can still italicize or bold text but it doesn’t change the appearance of it. It only italicizes (or whatever the effect is) when said text is the only word in that line. However this effect only happened on my Mac, on my other devices it’s fine (so far). Please fix this Apple. Until then I suppose I’ll have to resort to Google Docs for my own comfort.

Get rid of creators studio options
I own pixelmator pro, why when I click edit in pixelmator do I have to subscribe to the creators studio? If I don’t have it, don’t show the option. I will never pay for creators studio. Way to ruin the apps more and more. I already pay for an office 365 subscription, why should I keep using apples apps? Ridiculous.

not very user friendly
I use Word at work and love it. My husband has us using Pages at home (Mac computer) and I find it harder to figure out how to do basic things.
A Paintbrush is not text…
I was struggling to figure out how to change the text and out of dumb luck clicked a paintbrush onion and it worked!! So if I wanna paint I need to find the text icon..?
Honestly unusable
I have this on my MacBook, iPad and iPhone with the view that I’ll be able to go between devices when editing documents. It’s advertised as being a seamless experience. It is the worst and most unreliable word processing app I have ever used. It claims to sync and doesn’t. If you make an edit, it’s just the roll of a dice as to whether it will reach the cloud. This has happened to me twice now where I’ve lost a decent amount of work as a result of its unreliability. If you’re working on anything important I must tell you, please do not count on pages because it WILL let you down hugely when you need it.
