Getting worse

I don’t know why Apple can’t figure out how to make this more user friendly. It’s actually getting worse. It’s probably because they’re letting AI do the programming.

Kinda confusing but COOL!!!

okay so i tried it and its SO COOL!!! I can create files, write whatever i want in them, and you can EVEN SET THE BACKGROUND?!? THATS SO COOL!!!

Only bad thing about it is that theres mo tut for setting the background, etc etc.

Bye!

Double Screen on Start

Love the app on iPad, the only thing to fix is the welcome screen gets overlapped by the open file screen. Gives the visual of a popup that can’t be closed.

Just looking!

Seeing what the limits are for sharing project notes and documents.

More themes needed

Pages is a good word processor, unfortunately, Apples introduction of a charging plan for themes is disappointing. The themes that come with the application are dated, and a subscription to Apple Creator Studio is required to benefit from new themes.

Like the Pages app

I use the Pages app to rewrite an old manuscript. It does a great job. The only thing that I have a problem with is the PC & woke bias that keeps cropping up. So I have to closely scrutinize the pronouns and such like. Annoying but worth the hassle.

It is ok

I wish there was a “save as” option and that it would recognize Brazilian characters better.

Annoying glitches

I find the newest version of Pages very annoying.
It routinely indents when I don’t want it to and sometimes takes a sentence I am typing and puts it in the middle of the previous paragraph. It also quite commonly will substitute a word I am typing for another that is similar.

Certain features ,like underlining will continue intermittently when you have turned them off.
I didn’t have any of these issues with the old
version.

Amazing Tool

Pages has become more than simply a place to write—it is an essential part of the creative process. Its clean, intuitive design makes it easy to move from the first spark of an idea to a beautifully organized manuscript without the technology getting in the way of the words. Pages provides the flexibility to shape each book with care, from thoughtful typography and page layout to the small visual details that help a finished work feel distinctly like a Mill Plains publication. There is something especially satisfying about being able to write, revise, design, and watch a book take its final form within the same elegant workspace. For an independent publisher that values both the substance of the writing and the experience of the reader, Pages offers an uncommon combination of simplicity, control, and creative freedom—and it has become a natural home for bringing Mill Plains books to life.

Very helpful and easy to use

It’s good

It is really great.
Suck it, Google Docs.

Publishing Capable

I’ve used Pages for years. It’s not the same as Word, it is actually a lot like Publisher or QuarkXPress. I’ve made complex flyers and sent them off as PDFs for printing and heard “I didn’t know Pages could do that!” Well, it can. Columns, layers, shadows, with a precise level of control that Word users dream of. And moving something doesn’t break everything else when you know to turn off automatic wrap (works fine for simple things, but hard things are very achievable and reliable with it off).

A good program with many benefits.

I have been using pages since 2000. It just keeps getting better and better.

Object Edges

Love Pages but find it hard to grab the edges of objects to edit them sometimes tsk

Remarkable

We do all of our letters, Christmas, congratulation, birthday, and whatever information collected that we feel like we should save on this site. It is so intuitive and easy to set up and use. Thank you

Example of how

Page shifts when clicked

Pages shift up or down when the page is clicked for corrections or text will be added. Very annoying.

Fewer features, more in the way of writing

I immediately found no carryover of Recents when first launching the updated version, and struggled for 15 minutes to then find, and attempt to generate a single document using the word “Free” in a font larger than 80pts, and finally gave up to write this review of the worst piece of Apple software I’ve used in 3 decades
