Honestly, this has to be one of the WORST government apps I have ever used.
I am overseas Pakistani trying to renew my Pakistani passport, and I am completely stuck because the fingerprint verification simply DOES NOT WORK. The fingerprint scanning screen does not even properly open. It immediately throws the message:
“Unable to capture fingerprints. Please try again.”
I have tried again and again, followed the instructions, and done everything possible from my side — but the app keeps failing at the exact same step.
What is the point of having an online passport renewal system if users cannot even complete the biometric verification? This is an extremely important government service, yet the app feels completely unreliable and poorly designed.
At the very least, there should be a proper alternative verification method when the fingerprint system fails.
Please FIX this app. People should not have to spend hours getting frustrated just because your biometric feature does not work.

I tried applying for the Pakistan origin card. Even though it’s a renewal they made me go through so many forms. Complicated forms that don’t allow to put your address properly. They charge over 200 USD for the POC card which is ridiculous.
