About
The daily Italian word game: guess the five-letter word in six tries and learn real vocabulary as you play. One word a day, the same for everyone.
Paroletta is made for people learning Italian. Not knowing the word is the normal case, not a failure: the hints hand you an example sentence, then the meaning, then a letter. You are never left staring at a grid you cannot finish.
Everyone plays the same word every day, so any two players can compare results. Your level (A1 to C2) decides how much help you start with: beginners begin with the example sentence already open, and only hints beyond your level's baseline count in your score. Change it whenever you like.
THREE WAYS TO PLAY
Parola: the daily five-letter word.
Vocabolario: three minutes of real Italian words and invented ones, and a number at the end for how many you actually know.
Categorie: sixteen Italian words hiding four groups of four. Find what they have in common.
MADE FOR LEARNERS
Every word carries a plain English meaning and an example sentence in Italian with its translation.
Losing still teaches. When the guesses run out, the word and its meaning are always revealed.
After the puzzle, la domanda del giorno: one small question in Italian. Answer however you like (one word is plenty) and read what everyone else wrote.
