greedy, dishonest, incompetent company

they had a simple product that worked great. they kept raising prices in creative ways every year after promising initially that it was a one time pay and since then i have paid them for years for me and my entire family and have recommended it to all my friends and their families. but there’s a limit to even my patience. i just made all my friends CANCEL. during all this usage, i can tell you that this product DOES NOT DESERVE your money nor does this company. their design practices are dishonest, their pricing policy is dishonest, their responses to you in reviews here or in customer emails is dishonest. you don’t trust me? go and read their responses to customer reviews here -- it is not someone who responds to customers with respect. it’s worst than a bot. why should any of us TRUST a company that LIES so much? they can increase the price anytime, break promises anytime and don’t give a hoot about their customers or how they feel. for heaven’s sake it’s a paste app -- why are they charging $90 for a promise we know they will break one day announcing Paste 3 which won’t be any better. i hope someone makes a better app and puts them out of business.

Much better lower priced options available

It’s amazing that the developers at Paste can substantiate a $99 lifetime purchase. There are far better copy and paste apps with a lifetime purchase of under $20 and $10 that are more configurable.

The other issue is how the developers deceived many original purchasers of Paste by initially offering the app at a single purchase price. Those of us who bought the app where infuriated when the developers told us we no longer had lifetime access to the app and that it was being turned into a subscription. Any other software company would have grandfathered in its users.

So, for those of you who shell out the money for a lifetime access, be aware of the past misdeeds done by the developers of Paste. I would not trust that their lifetime promise will meet your expectations.

After it being free you make it 90 dollars?

I used paste for saved recipes, texts, etc but now when I open it up today it’s locked and they say if I even want to use it at all I have to pay a subscription and if I want to pay it once, $90. Like what? There is no need to make it that expensive let alone cost money AT ALL. Do better, because the only reason you have revenue and income is because it was free plus the paid benefits, if you make it all money no one will want your app.

Don’t Download…

I’m sure the app works fine (If you pay for it) But it’s incredibly difficult to uninstall if you don’t. This app will hold your Paste functionality hostage. App re-opens after terminating in Activity Monitor preventing you from deleting from Applications Folder.

I doubt this practice is allowed by apple.

Didn’t work.

After faffing about, this didn’t work. I have a dodgy iPad from 2020 so Universal Clipboard doesn’t work. So rather than use an open Notes note to just plonk screen grabs in, I gave this a try. Completely useless unfortunately and seemed to want all sorts of settings and so on. After all that, when I pressed tap and hold in Goodnotes to paste something, it seemed to rely on Universal Clipboard rather than Paste. The only way to make it work was going into the Paste app on the iPad to retrieve the item. So I went back to using Notes. All this, because Apple can’t make something so simple work properly

Crashed, so my computer froze

And there is no button to press to force quit. AND , they have a video with sound that automatically starts playing with the update. You people have become too proud and lost your minds. Completely unacceptable. If I want to hear some irate, opinionated lady on video, I can type “Irate, opinionated ——“ into the Youtube search bar any time I want. But I didn’t want. ——s.

No longer works

The app hasn’t worked in months on my M4 Mac each time it tries to open at crashes.

Update: this is currently being worked on by the team. Will give an update once fixed

Bought for £5.99 when it was a one time purchase.

Bought this for 5.99 When it was a one-time purchase, They've now decided to introduce a new one-time fee of 90 pounds, or a four pounds a month subscription. And now I have lost access, despite paying for it three years ago

Steer clear of this awful developer

Does Not Work on iPad

The Global Key does not work on iPad. Spent an hour trying to activate it on the iPad and still not working. Instructions are outdated. Not sure why this app is rated highly. Some glitches on the iPhone as well. Trying to get help in nearly impossible, just goes in circles.

$90!! Or, Copy/paste cash every month forever

Add this to the list of bills! Subscriptions are out of control. Such a cripple software that will empty your wallet for sure. Hard, hard PASS.

Out of common sense with a subscription model

I know price is a subjective and every single company/dev individual could have a price tag without others opinion. However this is just beyond of my perception line.
£30 annually for copy and paste and £90 for one-off payment.
Ridiculous. Or greed rather.

Lame

$30 to have a clipboard on your phone. Ridiculous. Free version is useless.

Not so honest

Says it’s FREE but then after dialing in the settings etc, u can’t use it without paying. (7-day trial isnt called ‘free’)

God-sent but unstable

Just love it. Here is an updated review: why when I search using a pinned item’s name nothing shows up? What is the point of pinning them and giving them names if I can’t get them when I search? Please guys do better testing before you release an update saying you fix things.
The search is unstable, it used to be great, but now the results can change in the same time I type and delete in the search box, it’s like I have to match the software weird behavior by hit and miss trying.

Pure greed

Charging ninety dollars for an app that pastes is egregious.

Keep freezing my computer

That’s it really— half the time I’m trying to do a simple paste it locks up my computer. Maddening.

Mac app is amazing, iPhone app is terrible.

Always have sync issues and customer service takes ages to solve the issues.

Insanely overpriced

This is totally and insanely overpriced and there is absolutely no excuse for a $90 perpetual license nor a subscription as high as Apple Creator Studio subscription for students also at $4/month.

Deception

There is no free trial. I downloaded it from the App Store promised a free demo and the only way to use it was to subscribe or pay $90 for a copy and paste app. First rule of selling anything - do not lie to me.

This service is not worth to pay

Why I have to pay such amount for such an easy task?
