Could have make it more easy to use
Not bad
Fairly easy to use, transparent and good traceability. One request: can we have a function that lets the practitioner erase the lists that have not happened without having to go via admin?
Unhappy with this app
Despite multiple checks, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, I still don’t get notifications, I can’t just check continuously when shifts are added. All my team has the same issue.
Frustrating
The app is fine. The constant extra processes of a button that I have to do to avoid giving feedback have led me to leave this review. Many hours wasted.

Continued popups demanding a review. App is fine. UI frustrating.
Functioning app however the filter button doesn’t work
There is lots of specialities and hospitals, unfortunately the filter button doesn’t seem to work. It makes the app screen go a different colour but no buttons/options are present.

Easy to use
I have been using Patchwork as an NHS employee to access my rota and Locum shifts, it has been seamless and easy to use. And the layout is great too.

An awful bureaucratic system
You can book shifts in advance, true. But, given that this app is for healthcare workers. There’s no way on the app to automatically get rid of your breaks if you don’t have any.
Then, once you’ve finished your shift and submit it, it has three hurdles: get approved, approved for payment, and finally with pay role.
Which can, and has led to many people not paid for weeks. Pointless steps no doubt to justify more jobs, or more charge to the nhs.

Excellent flexible workforce solutions
Patchwork Health is looking after me for number of years with an amazing team with great commitments and dedication. It’s very easy to use the platform and various alters and filters make it easier and smooth sailing in booking, attending shifts and subsequent timesheets management is seamless and very quick. Appalling
Just doesn’t do what it’s meant to, at any point. Can’t believe the NHS have committed us to this
Main issues
Main qualms: user interface is not the friendliest, and it is not possible to simply email completed shifts to the responsible approvers (practically speaking, it would be way better if the app could automatically send shifts for approval to expedite processing). Otherwise fine app.
Crashing
Keeps crashing. Unable to open app. I’ve deleted and re-download multiple times.
Bring back rates per hour
Glitchy app, but really frustrated the rate per hour has been removed, just displays the total rate. Who thought that was a good idea?

Does not let me put in that I am a nurse so will not go forward to book shifts
No notifications
Despite reaching out for support from patchwork for a year, I still do not get notified about shifts being posted. I have lost out on so many shifts because this app doesn’t work. Customer support is extremely poor and leave you frustrated just telling you to turn on notifications. This needs looking into.

Won’t log in
Can log in on mobile browser no problem. However, when logging in through the app, nothing happens after you click the log in button.
Great idea but app is slow
Patchwork has the potential to be superb as it solves many historic problems with locum booking and pay but the app is rather let down by being slow and constantly freezing. I have used the app for some years now and hope one day soon they can resolve these issues!
