About

Welcome to Pawnch Gym. The gym is run by Miso, an orange-and-white cat who's a little lazy, a little messy, and always remembers whether you showed up. Miso doesn't nag, doesn't dock points, and doesn't guilt-trip you over a broken streak. The lights are just always on, waiting for you to walk in. Pawnch is a boxing interval timer built for boxing training, kickboxing, and home HIIT — anything that runs on a "work, then rest, repeat" rhythm. Set your rounds and rest, put your phone down, and train. The bell rings on time, even with your screen locked. ROUND TIMER Customize warm-up, round length, rest length, cooldown, and number of rounds, then save it as a preset so you can start again with one tap. Every phase change gets a clear bell cue, so you don't need to keep glancing at your phone mid-set — just listen and keep your eyes on the bag. On first launch, Miso walks you through setting up your first workout in under a minute. KEEPS RUNNING WITH YOUR SCREEN LOCKED Nothing kills a session like your phone auto-locking and the timer freezing in the background. Pawnch uses a background audio mode so the timer keeps running and the round bell keeps ringing even when your screen is off or you've switched apps — so your phone can stay in your pocket or gym bag instead of propped up in front of you. ATTENDANCE LOG Every completed workout gets a paw stamp in your attendance log — a quiet record of how often you've shown up. No leaderboards, no streak-shaming, no "you haven't trained in 3 days" push notifications. Just a trail of the days you actually came in. COLLECTION Show up enough times and you'll slowly unlock everyday gym items — towels, water bottles, headbands. Earned by training, not bought, and nobody's experience is worse for not paying. MESSAGE BOARD Miso and the gym regulars leave notes on the message board — little slices of gym life, plus the occasional post-workout remark. Think of it as a bulletin board you can flip through. Notes are written once and stay as-is, like real paper notes — switching languages won't rewrite what's already posted. BILINGUAL Fully localized in Traditional Chinese and English. Pawnch follows your system language by default, or you can pick either one manually in Settings, independent of your device's language. ADS DON'T BELONG IN A WORKOUT We believe training shouldn't be interrupted by ads — hitting pause to catch your breath shouldn't cost you an ad first. In Pawnch, no ad will ever pop up mid-workout: no interstitials, no forced videos. Pause means pause. NO ACCOUNT, DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No account system, no login, and no internet connection required to use any feature. Every workout and attendance record stays on your phone — nothing is uploaded, nothing is tracked, and there are no third-party analytics or ad SDKs in the app. That's by design, not a sales pitch. Free to download; the only in-app purchase is a voluntary tip. If you're enjoying the gym, there's a quiet corner in Settings where you can treat Miso to a can of food — a pure tip with zero effect on the app. Everyone gets the exact same experience whether they tip or not. Pawnch runs on iPhone and iPad (iOS 17+), with a dark theme that's easy on the eyes for late-night sessions. There's no account and no cloud sync — your data lives on your phone — deleting the app erases it, though a full device transfer carries it to a new phone. That's a deliberate trade: in exchange, you never have to hand over any personal data. If what you want is an honest boxing interval timer with a little bit of "someone remembers you were here" — Pawnch Gym keeps the lights on.
