Utter trash
This app deleted all of work.
Terrible
No way to drag and drop text so you need to hope it will detect the correct size of the text box, it never does so it’s useless. This incredibly simple oversight has turned the app from usable to completely useless. Good job guys.
Matt
Excellent app. I couldn't run my business so well without it!!
Unable to translate documents properly from Japanese
Like the title says it wouldn’t translate at all any documents
Costly
$80/year. The ad doesn’t mention price which is dishonest
Feeling bad with 99 others
I’ve been using PDF Expert since 2011, and for many years it was one of the best PDF apps on the App Store. It was fast, reliable, and offered a great balance of features without constantly pushing users toward a subscription.
Unfortunately, recent updates have been disappointing. It feels like the developers have become increasingly focused on monetization by moving features that were previously available into the paid version. A good example is signatures—adding a signature used to be simple, but now even basic annotation-related functionality requires a subscription.
I understand that developers need to generate revenue, but removing or restricting long-standing core features leaves loyal users feeling penalized. Instead of rewarding customers who have supported the app for over a decade, the app now seems designed to push everyone toward paying.
I hope the developers reconsider this approach and restore access to essential features. PDF Expert used to set the standard for PDF apps, and I’d love to see it return to putting users first.

Paid for app not subscription
I paid for this app on iPad and now it is subscription only. My Restore Purchase does not work. So, I guess when I paid for an “app” it was just a bait and switch and they treated it like a “subscription” that eventually just stopped working. Oh, and now I can purchase a very expensive subscription to get back the features I already paid for when I bought an “app”. No thanks.

Poor customer service
I have purchased this software multiple times because no one will help me restore the purchase. Buyer beware
Same paid features removed again with no permanent fix
I bought PDF Converter separately in 2018 for $4.99, entitling me to permanent conversion access under the terms sold at the time. This is the second time Readdle has revoked that access, first in 2025, now again in June 2026, both times forcing me to argue with support and provide old receipts just to get back something I already paid for.
Their own published FAQ for PDF Expert 7 states clearly that PDF Converter purchasers retain conversion access. Support initially denied this, incorrectly claiming I only had access due to a subscription. After I pushed back with documentation, they eventually issued a one-year redemption code, but refused to guarantee anything beyond that. I now have to fight for this same access annually with no permanent resolution in sight.
Readdle has since scrapped one-time purchases entirely in favor of subscriptions, which makes it painfully clear how they now view anyone who bought in before that shift: an inconvenience to be quietly phased out. I’ve used this app for nearly eight years and would rather not leave, but I can no longer recommend it in good conscience until this is resolved permanently.
You’re better off going to ilovepdf.com which provides all of the same editing and conversion features for free that Readdle has locked their legacy customers out with a paid subscription paywall time and time again.

would be awesome if there are more option for flip/rotate for image
AI made it worse
No matter how many times you check the box to not open copilot automatically it still opens. It also seems to forget what document I had open now. Great app that is going downhill fast.
Please give us an option to turn off automatic scroll up on tap
This program is the only one i have found that can stably handle PDFs with 1000 pages or more. However, there is no way to turn off auto scroll up on tapping the upper edge of the screen!!! I use the ipad flat in front of my computer, and frequently reach over it (like you would with a book) to type on my keyboard. But the smallest brush anywhere NEAR the top of the screen sends the PDF flying back to the first page!!! This sadly breaks up my workflow due to the large documents i have to handle. I Understand the need to have the feature, BUT PLEASE JUST GIVE ME A BUTTON TO TURN IT OFF

Use to be good
All my tabs are blank, the files are there, but have to open each one to see which one it is, as all the tabs show no title. PLEASE FIX!!!
Love it!
Great app. Love all the features provided in free mode. Im not a heavy user so can you please consider a purchase for like a day or week or month only?? It could be months between use and it would be helpful to not pay during that downtime.
No-go on the endless subscription fee.
This is an excellent app, especially the fully featured pro version. Well worth a reasonable one time cost, with possible future functionality upgrades that could be available for an additional cost. I know developing software isn’t cheap.
Except that everyone used to sell software for a fixed price and now everyone (almost) has gone to a subscription model. Not going to happen for me. I live on a fixed income and can’t afford to pay monthly or yearly for every app I own.
I gave up on Adobe for this very reason. Plus their whole suite of software is an unholy mess: good luck uninstalling apps you don’t want.
Lastly, I’m a normal guy with an iPhone, an iPad Pro, and a MacBook Pro. I might be mistaken but does one license not cover all my devices (using the same Apple ID)? I want to support Readdle and Ukraine but I can’t print money. I’m going to have to look at less expensive options. Sorry.

ilovepdf.com does all the same pdf conversions for free
I did an in-app purchase in 2018 long before everything was only subscription models. Now the features I previously had access to (convert, compress, etc) have been taken away from me unless I subscribe. Thankfully ilovepdf.com does all of this for free with no signup or subscription required. I will not be using this app for anything anymore.
Update: Restoring purchases did not ever restore the features I previously had, which your website said people who purchased your now separate standalone now-defunct PDF Converter App would continue to have access to. Vlad gave me a one year free subscription to restore my features and said he could not guarantee I would get the same when my free subscription expires next year. Apple does not allow corporations to take away paid features just because you changed your model from PDF Expert 6 to PDF Expert 7 and stopped supporting your PDF Converter app to force people into your subscription model you have now. Incredibly shady and dishonest business practices.

The software is horrible and their Customer Service is worse!
The software is horrible and there’s too many issues with logging in and the security they use with their server constantly logs you out and you have to contact customer support to get it working again and 2 to 3 weeks later it’ll work for a little while and then it logs you out again and removes your services. The software makes using fax machines seem fun.
