What's New in PeakG

2.0

October 19, 2026

PeakG 2.0 is a complete rebuild. • Three modes: Everyday (total G), Car (braking, accelerating and cornering in words, on a grip circle) and Flight (signed load factor, including negative G). All three work on Apple Watch too. • Readings that match what you feel: a hard shake used to show 10 g or more. Those spikes are real, but they last a few hundredths of a second, far too short to feel. PeakG now smooths them out with the 5 Hz filter used for rollercoaster forces, so peaks reflect the load you actually feel. Raw readings are still available under Settings → Advanced. • A steady live display; recordings still keep the full detail. • Sensor check: see in a minute how accurately your phone reads. • New charts: pinch to zoom, pan and scrub, with range buttons and Highlights that jump to the hardest moments. • GPS track map coloured by G-force. • Export CSV with real timestamps, JSON or GPX: a whole session, just the zoomed part, or several sessions at once. • More reliable Apple Watch recording and sync. Recordings survive crashes and keep going with the screen locked. • Fixed: CSV speed and altitude now line up with G, and vertical speed is correct. • New in Settings: Contact & feedback goes straight to us. Your 1.0 sessions are moved over automatically.

Cool

The app is pretty cool but I don’t know if it’s accurate because I once got 13g in a swing.

Great app

I use this app to record data and it’s good Just A little werid because when you shake your phone it hits about 11 G’s

Response from developer

Thanks for the review! Those readings are real: a hard shake does reach about 10 g each time the phone changes direction, but only for a split second, far too short to feel. PeakG 2.0 smooths out these brief spikes, using the same 5 Hz filter used to measure rollercoaster forces, so peaks now show the load you actually feel. If you want the raw readings, they're still available in Settings → Advanced. Version 2.0 is pending review and should be available as an update for you in the next few days. Please reach out to us in the app for any other suggestions or requests after that!

An Ex-User

Needs Zooming feature on G-Force Graphs

Response from developer

Thanks for the suggestion! It's now in PeakG 2.0: pinch to zoom and drag to pan on every chart, with range buttons and highlights that jump to the hardest moments. You can also export just the part you've zoomed in on. The update should be available in a few days for you, and we'd appreciate your feedback in the app after you've had a chance to review it.
