Go Penn state
Great news for PSU
App Crashes A lot!
Content is great but the app constantly crashes while I’m reading an article.
Subscriber Scam
This app used to be the best free app for psu football fans and now almost every good story is a subscriber exclusive that you have to pay for. I use the app mainly for the alerts on new stories and then go elsewhere to read about it. I’m not paying $5.99 a month to read two good stories. Complete rip off!

Will miss the “BIG SHOW “ in 2020-2021
It is WRONG to have kept the $ which accompanies the ticket price for NO football
this year!!! 1975 PSU Proud graduate!

Why no longer free
It used to be free. I got all my penn state news before. Now you 6.00 A MONTH!
What happened?????
Why all the sudden I can’t read any articles at all without a monthly subscription of $15.00? None of the articles are available to read. Even the ones that don’t require the subscription.
PennLive
By seeing the pennlive articles, but not being able to open and read them is very frustrating. Only articles that can be read without charge should be placed on this app.
PSU football
I use the app and can only read select articles, must pay for other.
PSU football
Enjoyed the article on sports all purpose synthetic fields
Too expensive
I used to use the app all the time before you started charging for it. But I can still get the content for free on twitter. Doesn’t make sense.
Frustrated with new subscription model
I have been an avid penn state football fan for over 15 years and when I found this app a few years back it changed the way I followed penn state football. This app would be the first I would open in the morning to read while I enjoyed my coffee and the last I would open to check for any new updates before I went to sleep. The writers do an excellent job and the countless hours of work that they put in covering the team during both the regular season and the offseason does not go unnoticed! I appreciate how connected to the team and fan base I feel when I am able to log into this app immediately after a game and read the rapid reaction, or log in during the middle of summer and read about the latest news on our recruiting of Julian Fleming.
This being said, I can’t help but feel frustrated with the new subscription model. I watch every game live on tv, purchase a ticket and travel to at least one game a year from out of state, and buy plenty of penn state gear for myself and family members. All of this attributing to the more than $100 million of operating revenue (and over $10 million of profit) that the university takes in year after year. I can’t help but wonder why the hard working journalists who make this app possible can’t be funded from this pocket of money and instead decide to turn to the fans who make this profit possible and charge an additional $5.99 a month. Before the new subscription model update, this app made me feel closer to the team. It fueled my fandom for all things Penn state football and surely attributed to my penn state football spending habits, albeit in an indirect manner. Now that this model has been implemented I can’t help but feel slightly taken advantage of. I am not taking a shot at any of the journalists and hard working folks that make this app possible, rather hoping that you will reconsider the manner in which the application and journalist are funded!
Last note on a more technical side. There is an issue for me because I do not pay for the subscription. When I try to click on non subscriber exclusive articles, the app does not allow me to read them because of a pop of saying that I must subscribe by Pago g the $5.99 a month. I think this is a technical bug that should be looked at.
I appreciate you taking the time to read my review and hope that you take these thoughts into consideration.....WE ARE!

Penn Live App
So I understand that it cost money to cover Penn State football but I also understand greedy people! Maybe David Jones can do an article on GREED!
Terrible update
Used to be the best app out there. The non-football content is terrible and there’s no reason to pay for the football content when you can find it elsewhere without paying for it. Bad move.
Used to be the best.
Once it was my go to App for Penn State Football , now Im deleting it. Most articles now require a paid subscription now and most of the other articles don’t even have anything to do with Penn State.
Was the best football info
Greedy. Now must pay $5.99 a month
The lay out and all the subscriber content
I don’t understand the non PSU football content on here and now all the subscriber content. I get it, as a businessman someone has to make some money but just not a fan of all these changes.
Penn State Football...” Outstanding “
Love the app. We live in Maine from May / Oct & this is the BEST WAY TO keep informed...
Latest update is a downgrade
Disappointed by latest update. Used to be one of my favorite Penn a state football apps. New version requires subscription for many articles and has non-football related stories intermingled.
Not paying for this
No way I’m paying for this app every month. I can get the same information other places for free.
Terrible
With so much information online for free PennLive felt it necessary to charge for this information about Penn State that can be found anywhere for free. I loved the old app but will go back to google searches like the good ol days. Bad move Penn Live. The ads that come through on the old app should more than pay for expenses for the app.
