Hi @kenzer19, there was a bug on our end. Sorry for that😕Pics didn’t load because our server disk was full. It’s all restored now! Machine and coin pics are all visible if you have WiFi or mobile data. We had to fix it while being on a roadtrip in Iceland 🇮🇸 So it took few days longer unfortunately 🙈 We would be thrilled if you could revise your rating! Remember we’re developing the app in our free time and the app is for free for you! 🙏💚

Background: For the Push notification to work well, PennyMe needs continuous location access in the background. But Apple shuts this down at some point when the app isn’t used much, to save battery. That’s why re-opening the app regularly helps. PS: Seeing a 3/5 ⭐️ for a „perfect, except..“ is a bit heartbreaking 😭

Thanks for the feedback!🙂 Pls update your app, since V1.21 you can upload individual images for each coin of a machine 🚀 Also, soon, we will have one pin for each machine (rather than the „multimachine pins“ now, so then there shouldn’t be any more need to have more than a single picture of the machine plus one picture per coin!

A Pressed Penny Revolution!!!
The websites are very outdated and hard to understand but when I found PennyMe I was astonished! Everything I could need in one spot! AND FOR FREE!!!
The map is so much easier to look at than any of the sites I’ve seen and the interface is very simple and intuitive for beginners to play around with. I loved the ability to see my stats and it made me feel more proud to be a pressed penny collector.
***Improvements***
I would love to see more work done to the information pages for each machine. Others have mentioned it but being able to see more than one photo helps when collecting. Information about the location’s schedule would also be useful.
One thing id like to see in the future is a system for tiers or levels. Users could collect and submit more information about machines and their pennies to reach higher levels. Maybe there could even be a way to digitally take a photo of your pennies and that would make a digital copy for a digital collection on the app, allowing others to view the designs and vastness of other people’s collection. Just an idea for the devs.

So fun! Wish there was a collection option.
Theres a few features I wish were on the app:
1. A collection option to digitally track all of the pennies you’ve collected and their locations. Similar to the penny books you can purchase, but this way you could see your collection in the app.
2. An area for users to add specific information about the location’s hours. We went to a few spots where the press was inaccessible due to the location being closed.
3. When posting a photo to the location, it seems that only one person can upload the picture. I wish there was the ability for everyone to upload their photos as they wish!
Although I have a few recommendations, I do think this app is a lot of fun and a great way to discover new penny press locations!
First app I’ve ever seen!
For the developers, some feature requests:
- More options to mark penny machines other than unvisited, visited, and marked. I would personally use other options such as “broken, but definitely check again later”, “got some penny machines at this location, but not all”, “token machine, will not get”, etc. but even just different blank options would be awesome so users can mentally do different things with them.
- Can you create a list view of each state? I love pennycollector.com and this list few makes it so fun to get all pennies in one state.
- For the leaderboard, can you show all states and not just the top 5?
- Accounts would be great. My sister and I collect together so it would be great if we could both mark ones off on the same account.
- Could you use addresses instead of coordinates for the pins? I have found a few pins that were in the wrong location despite having the correct address listed. It also makes it easier to add when pennycollector adds more.

When it worked it was great
Problems seem to have been fixed & the app is working as intended! I enjoy being able to find penny machines to add pennies to my collection & this app is super helpful!!
When this app worked it was great! As a full time traveler I loved being able to check an area where we were going to see if there was a machine nearby. After about 2 weeks of use, the app will no longer open. It attempts to, but then closes before fully opening. I tried to uninstall & reinstall & that didn’t help.

Perfect for a traveler
I started smashing pennies on train tracks when I was a kid and now smooshed pennies have become something I nostalgically collect when I travel. Being able to open this app and see the nearest penny machines makes this hobby so easy! I also like the links to the website that show more details about location + design. Would be nice to see that in the actual app, but I literally don’t care. I’m just happy the app with the map exists :)
