Penso has a new face. Every person now has their own room, in their own colour. The name is the only thing to touch: hold it, and the thought goes — nothing to write. Receiving, and the rare moment when two people think of each other at once, are now two small ceremonies. Everything else is gone: no bottom bar, no alphabetical index, no cards. Just the names. And the sign-up: your phone number is now required — it's how the people who have you in their contacts recognise you — and no step can leave you stuck with nowhere to go.
