How unusual is today's daily high? SkyRewind brings together current weather, a seven-day forecast and a comparison with the same calendar date in past years. See whether the daily maximum temperature is above, near or below the historical average for your chosen location. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Check the current temperature, feels-like temperature and the weather data timestamp. - Scroll through the next 24 hours for temperatures, conditions and rain probability, including the following day. - Check forecasts for today and the following six days. - Compare today's or a future day's forecast low and high with the same date in previous years. - Slide along the historical timeline to explore the temperatures and weather conditions for the selected date, year by year. - Open the Top 8 to see the highest daily highs, lowest daily highs or daily highs closest to the average, depending on the day's conditions. - Search for places worldwide and save up to five towns or cities, including your home town. - Add one optional GPS location separately, without using one of the five saved-place slots. - Enable an optional local daily reminder to open the comparison. - Share the result using your iPhone's sharing features. WEATHER WITH A MEMORY Historical data can reach back to 1940, depending on availability for the selected date and location. The visual atmosphere changes with the season, daylight and difference from the historical average, keeping warm and cold anomalies separate from weather conditions. The comparison matches daily low with daily low and daily high with daily high. Each difference explicitly identifies Today or Forecast and higher or lower. The current temperature stays separate. The timeline, historical average and Top 8 refer to daily maximum temperatures. Forecasts and historical reconstructions are identified separately. Choose a home town to return to when you reopen the app. GPS is optional: manual search is always available. Saved places, their order and your preferences stay on your device, with no account required. Use the app in Italian or English. It follows your device's primary language, or you can choose a language in Settings. DATA TRANSPARENCY Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo. Historical ERA5 data is a model-based reanalysis of an area, not a reading from a single local weather station. Averages, anomalies and rankings are calculated by SkyRewind. Weather data is licensed under CC BY 4.0. Weather information is indicative and should not be your only source for emergencies, personal safety or critical operational decisions.
