Still broken
I changed the heater settings on my pool and they never get applied. I have to constantly go back into the app kill the app change Pages just to see if the temperature changes have been applied properly. It’s been this way for several versions.
Can’t wait to upgrade - away from pentair

Barely functional
I have an indoor pool with 3 Pentair pumps, pool heater plus a swim system pump and two light systems via Intellivibe.
I can start the system up but to get the app to report that the system pump is running, I must kill the app and restart, then start a subsystem like the spa, kill the app again and then restart to start the swim system. Every change in the app requires a restart for the app to report the change. Extremely frustrating for the money we spent on the system that their app is this bad.

Locks, can’t use
This app is complete garbage. I got a new pool a new Pentair system. I’ve used this app for three days and it now locks (I can’t get past the ‘auto update coming soon’ notification) and I can’t use the app. I’ve have uninstalled the app, reinstall the app. Restarted the phone… nothing. App remains frozen every time after the stupid notification.

Select everything twice
You have to select everything twice, select pool, it will turn on then it will show off in the app, the app doesn’t always match what’s happening, very frustrating.
Pump speed
This app is very easy to use. One improvement I would like to see is making it easier to change pump speed for various settings like spa, pool cleaner, normal pool mode, etc.

I’m very impressed with the technology built into the pump and app. The pump has been working great and the app is easy to use.
Equipment Review
We purchased a in-ground Aruba fiberglass pool and the package we purchased has the pump that has WI-FI connection. Love it , no matter where I am I can control all aspects of the pump, flow rate , on/off , lighting in the pool. Also has a dashboard that shows flow rate , flow percentage and power consumption.

Did they forget to debug it before they launched it?
It starts with the fact that the password keyboard that pulls up is numeric only and there’s no way to get an alpha keyboard when you need to type your password. Perhaps more review is necessary before making life inconvenient for all of those using the app.
Very poor app
The app constantly looses connection to the console. That could be from wifi interference. However, the app’s user interface is terrible. Not at all intuitive. Who knew you had to create multiple “circuits” in the console to build a schedule with different speeds at different times. You should just be able to set speed as part of your schedule period. And, quite often the schedules I set don’t even run! Pentair hardware is the best. They should use more of the profits from their hardware to build better user interface in their app and main console.

Constant Issues Across 4 Years
My pool builder uses Pentair products, which are by far superior in the pool industry. However I just can’t say that the app meets the legendary level of product satisfaction that Pentair’s pool equipment provides.
I’ve had Pentair products, and thus this app, since 2022. So after 4 years of using this app I am providing my review of it.
I utilize this app at least once a day, if not more. I rent out my pool, so features are getting turned on and off remotely as to not disturb my customers. Additionally, I travel often, so when people come to check on the pool for me and balance it I use the app to turn on features. Needless to say I have a lot of time under my belt for this app.
P.S. my Pentair system is WiFi’d, then connected hard-lined to my router which is on fiber.
Issues:
1) this app crashes. Consistently. Open it up, it tries to load the pool, closes the app entirely instead. Will happen typically once every other day. If I’m using the app multiple times a day it happens at least once a day.
2) this apps delay is 20+ seconds a lot of the time. And I don’t just mean for the pool. I mean the app actually RECOGNIZING that the command to turn the pool on was input on the screen. It leaves me sitting there waiting to see if the app actually accepted the input, then trying again. And then again.
3) schedules: I periodically adjust my schedules on the app due to travel, weather, time of year, etc…. Approximately half the time the schedules don’t save. I have to exit the app and go back in to try again.
4) even local connection has its troubles to connect via the local WiFi network.
The concept of the app is good. The interface is fine. But there seem to be some coding issues.
Yes I restart my phone once a week. Yes I check for updates in the App Store and for my phone. Yes my router is up to date on firmware and the like.

Great app to control your pool
The app works great and it allows me everything I need to control my pool while not going to the panel it’s self.
I really wish the developer would create an integration with Apple Home kit. The rest of my house is Apple Home smart items. I’d love to be able to at-least control the water features, pool heater temp, etc.
