About
Perceptrail is a pocket workbench for verifying the accessibility basics that get apps and websites flagged: color contrast, touch target size, and reading order.
Everything lives on one fast screen. Type any foreground and background color as hex codes and Perceptrail computes the WCAG contrast ratio live, with a clear Passes AA or Fails AA verdict. Flip the large-text toggle and the threshold adjusts correctly from 4.5:1 to 3:1. Below that, the touch target probe lets you drag width and height sliders to test any control size against the 44-point minimum. A severity chart and a reading-order panel round out the screen with worked examples: findings ranked advisory, serious, and critical, and a side-by-side of visual order versus VoiceOver order with mismatches counted.
FEATURES
• Live WCAG contrast ratio from any hex color pair
• Passes/Fails AA verdict with the correct large-text threshold
• Touch target probe against the 44 x 44 pt minimum
• Severity chart of example findings, from advisory to critical
• Reading-order comparison: visual sequence vs VoiceOver sequence
• Instant results — no setup, no configuration

What's New in Perceptrail
1.1
August 31, 2026
Perceptrail 1.1 is a focused redesign. The app now opens directly into a single fast accessibility workbench: enter foreground and background hex colors for an instant WCAG contrast ratio and AA verdict, flip the large-text toggle to switch thresholds, and drag the touch-target sliders to check any control against the 44-point rule. Everything on one screen, with no navigation in the way.
