Secure cycle tracker

I’m happy to find a secure cycle tracker as the US turns into the handmaiden tales. I love intuitive daily hormone powers. Thank you 🫶🏽

Love Baba Yaga

Just a great app, feels earthy and safer than other cycle tracking apps.

No Internet bug

This app lost my configuration because I run it in a moment when my device had no internet connection

Response to dev: you are either being dishonest or simply don’t know what you’re talking about. Google—sure, BUT Apple login provides anonymity, protecting users’ privacy—giving Apple zero access to app data through that login AND protecting my contact info from being monetized or leaked, hacked, etc. Your response is disappointing.

Original review:
Account required to enter the app and view any content which is completely unnecessary. No Apple or Gmail login, which foreshadows just how far behind the times this app is. If you choose to jump through their onboarding hoops and give them your contact info, you’ll get to peruse content and functionality that is truly anticlimactic and subpar compared to much less expensive apps.

If you expect people to pay for your service, at least try to keep up with basic standards. This developer is competing with circa 2015 apps in 2025.

Response from developer

Hi QuanahP – thank you for your honest feedback. We hear your frustration about the account requirement and lack of Apple/Gmail login. We're a small indie team building a privacy-conscious app, and that means we don’t rely on third-party logins that often share user data by default. Instead, we ask for a basic email login to protect your cycle data and your autonomy—especially in a world where bodily information can be weaponized. We know our approach may not suit everyone. Baba Yaga isn’t trying to be the flashiest or fastest app on the market—we’re here for those looking for a different kind of relationship with their body. One rooted in education, healing, and reclaiming inner authority. That said, we’re actively working on expanding both functionality and accessibility. If you ever feel like giving us another shot, we’d love to hear more of what would make your experience feel worthy of your time. With respect, – The Baba Yaga Team

it's beautiful

But I want the iPas ratio/iPad stable version. There are millions of iPad devices, and many people need your app on their iPad as well.

Amazing app, crashes a bit easy sometimes

This is the period tracker app I have been waiting for. I love how it’s focused on a holistic view of the menstrual cycle and how you can make it work for you. I love being able to track my moods and other aspects of my cycle in detail, and the moon phase pairing aspect. That said the app crashes pretty easily, especially when I try to click on different days in future in the cycle calendar/tracker section… and my phone is totally up to date. Hoping it will be resolved in time!

Nice and easy design

I originally gave this a one star because it kept crashing but that wasn’t the apps fault, that was because I didn’t update my phone (sorry about that 🙈) I like the design and I love the name! My one bit of constructive feed back is, it would be cool to identify in the app all the stages of menstruation (I.e. menstruation, the follicular phase, ovulation and the luteal phase) It’s only my first day using it so I’m sure I will come back with other constructive feedback back as I continue using it.
