Should be great but doesn’t quite work
This recipe app is amazing - in theory. However, scanning a recipe from a book or magazine is incredibly difficult. Your camera has to select exactly the title, then the ingredients, then the steps etc. The problem is that when you hover over any text which has spacing between it, it will only select part of what you want rather than all of it. As a result, it’s pretty impossible to scan all the instructions in at once. Very frustrating, especially given this is a paid app.

Ease of life changes needed for 5 stars
Great app, have had premium for a few years now! There are a few things that would improve it that a lot of other apps have but this one is missing.
Auto sorting lists into aisle or product categories for one.

Love Pestle
I’ve been using Pestle for about 2 years and love this App. Couldn’t save loads of recipes before but with this App I can save pretty much everyone I choose and my recipes are all in one place. Totally recommend Pestle 💗
LOVE THIS APP
I was using another recipe app for almost a decade and enjoyed it. But this is so much better!
Ansonsten absolut empfehlenswert!

Recipes tacking on the go!
Now that I use pestle I try out more new recipes and keep track of ones I like. I love having my cookbook with me on my phone, so if I’m visiting family I can share or make a recipe for them.
Game changer
I honestly don’t know what we did before we found Pestle. Will is awesome and always improving the app.5/7 perfect
Is this my favourite app?
Pestle is honestly the answer to so many needs I had and I can't believe how clever it is. I can't do without it now. Thanks so much and congratulations to the one man show who's put this magical app together. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
My go to for saving recipes
This app is the best recipe app ever. I use it often to store recipes I find interesting and want to try. I also keep my old recipes on Pestle because I trust that they won’t go missing. The app is very straightforward and incredibly easy to use. I like the step by step feature, which breaks down the recipe one step at a time to make it easier to cook.

The best recipe manager!
This is the only app I’ve ever paid money to use, and I use it every day! Pestle helps my wife and I meal plan every week and get the groceries that we need for the recipes we want to cook. It’s also so easy to save a recipe from anywhere. We absolutely love Pestle and would recommend it to anyone!
Spouse approved!
My wife and I started using this for saving and sharing recipes we want to try, and now we are using it daily. We went with the permanent license, since I can see us still using this in 25 years. The dev is very responsive, obviously cares about the app and users.
update 10/2026:
Still using it daily, and still love the app.

Love this app!
I have been using this app for a few years and love it! And it just keeps getting better. It’s great to see an interesting recipe on the internet and save it into Pestle. It’s also great for finding recipes I have saved but not cooked for quite a while.
Life Changer! No Food Waste!
This app has changed the entire way I meal plan, has reduced food waste almost entirely, and has simplified my life incredibly.
Scaling recipes to suit who’s actually home is a breeze. Making a meal plan and shopping list takes no time at all, and can be done when anywhere. In return, you save tons of time in the grocery store. I cook all kinds of new things easily and only buy the food I need.
I gift this to every new bride and groom I know!

The One To Buy!!!
Pestle does a great job for capturing, formatting and saving recipes from the VAST recipe resources on the Internet. Will continues to develop the product and is truly focused on making it better. The Smart Folder feature is a stroke of genius for organizing and locating individual recipes. I couldn’t be happier with this app. Highly recommended!

Pestle is the Bestle
Truly this app and developer are the greatest. The app is feature full and has new functionality added all the time and seriously the developers newsletters are one of the few I’ve kept on and look forward to as new features are announced and tips are given. You need this app!!!
Can’t live without it
Sharing a recipe book with my partner is so handy, and the recipe saving is always great. Thanks Will!
Game changer
A great way to store and view social media recipes with lots of options to customize, edit, and notate your recipes as you add them and as you plan to cook them during a week.
This is a great App
I love this app it is easy to use and can save almost any recipe. I can also share recipes with my friends who also have Pestle.
Excellent
Genuinely everything we needed in a recipe app. Takes recipes from insta/tiktok really well, searchable and editable, even the Siri integration works well. Highly recommended
