About

Check before the bowl. Snacco compares readable English ingredients with cited toxin lists for dogs and cats, then explains what it finds. No result guarantees that a food is safe. FREE EVERYDAY CHECKS Scan an English ingredient panel on your iPhone, look up a barcode through Open Pet Food Facts, or search for a product. Label, barcode and product-name checks are free, with no account required. Barcode coverage varies. Incomplete or unsupported labels need another read; missing information never means a clear result. The translated interface does not add support for ingredient labels in other languages. SEPARATE CHECKS FOR DOGS AND CATS Choose the pet being checked. Browse known toxins and their published sources. Keep a profile for each pet, with ingredients you choose to avoid shown separately from known-toxin findings. Personal preferences are not an allergy diagnosis. SAVED FOODS AND PACK DETAILS Revisit foods and previous checks in one place. Earlier results keep their original date and context. Pack labels, lot codes and dates are records you confirm, not proof of recall coverage or an exact batch match. AUSTRALIAN AND US RECALLS Read notices from the Australian ACCC and PFIAA and the US FDA. Optional alerts flag possible matches with foods saved on your iPhone. Recall sources cover Australia and the US only, not every country or product. Read the original notice for affected batches and distribution. No matching notice or alert is not an all-clear. Recall alerts remain free. OPTIONAL PHOTO CHECKS WITH SNACCO+ Photograph food, confirm its identity, then see the fixed-rule check and its limits. A photo cannot reveal hidden ingredients or replace a label. Photo checks require Snacco+. Monthly and annual subscriptions offer the same features; the App Store shows your local price. PRIVACY No account, ads or tracking. Label photos are read on your iPhone; recognized ingredient text is sent for transient checking. For an optional Photo check, a reduced, metadata-stripped image passes through our backend to Google's Gemini API to identify the food. Fixed rules produce the toxin verdict. Snacco does not retain submitted photos on its backend. Optional photo copies stay in app storage on this iPhone and may be included in device backups. Removing an app copy does not remove the original from Photos. Purchase verification, push tokens and crash diagnostics support app functionality as described in our Privacy Policy. Snacco provides information, not veterinary advice. If your pet may have eaten something harmful, contact a local veterinarian or animal poison service. Emergency guidance follows your chosen household region, not the app language. Privacy Policy: https://kovus.dev/apps/snacco/privacy Terms of Use (EULA): https://kovus.dev/apps/snacco/terms
