The app wonāt work - I canāt login at all.
Unable to create an account
The app has to send you a verification code to sign up but it produces an error every time. Created an account online successfully, it seems. But those login credentials donāt work in the app. Customer service is unresponsive.
Dreadful
This app looks the part but continually locks up and tracking of pet is so off itās practically useless. Donāt waste your money on this tracker or app
Does not work
It never tracked very well and the charging case stopped working after a few months. Their refund policy is even worse.

App quit working with offline maps. Crashes nowā¦. Thatās exactly why I bought this model!
PETFON still exists as a company with expensive stuff. They havenāt updated or fixed their app- that says all you need to know regarding this product.

ā¦but this is a nearly $200 device and PETFON canāt use proper English in the documentation? Iām figuring it out, but the āhelpā sections on PETFONs website AND app make this more confusing than it should be! Iāll update as time goes by, and as I continue to figure out this device. Boo š» for the reasons above. Easy to fix, PETFON.
UPDATE:
Now, with iOS 16 and 17 beta, attempting to download offline maps crashes the app.
PETFON has a good product and if the software could get some simple updates this would be a recommended product.

No firmware updates, no maintenance
Controller stopped working (wonāt charge). Never seems to have any sort of maintenance or firmware updates for the actual trackerā¦.
Ridgeback Approved
My human is very satisfied and pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to register and establish an account. Within minutes my tracker was set up and ready. He says the app is user friendly and the location display is accurate. Hopefully heāll never have to track me down, but the peace of mind in case he does is worth it.

What are you going to fix this product? Great product, once in a while.
When it works itās great. The app cannot deliver the GPS file successfully, the sounds become corrupt, and location fails often. New firmware was just released and it made things worse. How hard can it be to fix these problems? Also offline maps are now broken.
Not good enough
The company had a great technology until it doesnāt work. We have used the PETFON daily for the last year and was very satisfied. We live in the country and once the dog realized that we could find him after he took off he stopped leaving the yard.
BUT now that the unit stopped working we can not get help from customer service. They might have a post office box in the USA but their tech help is somewhere in Asia. Long delay in communication transmission and their agent does not speak English very well. Very frustrating. They used to have great service. Now we have a useless dog collar.

Needs substantial work
Constantly indicating pet is in one or another location when in fact, my pet is standing next to me. Horribly inaccurate. Needs a lot of work but no updates at all from developers!
Does NOT work, Save your money!
This tracker was a huge waste of money! It simply does not work. Could not get a refund. When I first got it I thought I was doing something wrong because it would only hold the signal for a very short time. I did everything I read to do but kept getting the āget closer to last known locationā message. Hard to do when the dog is off running around. When she comes back I try again and it just doesnāt work. I have messaged the company numerous times with no response from them.

Horrible app
Bought this $240 device and the app wont let me register
Total junk
I am done with this, there are endless updates that seem to do nothing as far as accuracy goes and when our pet has the tracker on bounces all over the map. When I first started using the tracker it was pretty good, some bouncing around but usually within a small area where my pet is, now we are talking 100's of feet at a time.

Works great
Tracks my pet even in the woods. I especially like the customizable call where you can record a come here command and send it to the collar receiver so the dog hears YOUR voice and responds to it even at a great distance. I can even use this option inside the house because we have 4 floors and I never know where she can be hiding.
