Extremely Concerning Experience With Phantom Wallet and Crypto Scams
Phantom has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had in crypto. Based on my personal experience, I’m deeply concerned about how its wallet ecosystem can be exploited by scammers and automated bots targeting investors.
Multiple times, I created a new Phantom wallet and transferred funds from Coinbase or Robinhood into it. Shortly afterward, I noticed 20–30 wallets appearing to follow or interact with my wallet activity. I repeatedly observed similar patterns where wallets appeared to mirror trades or make transactions that seemed designed to provoke emotional reactions and influence my trading decisions.
I have also spoken with multiple people I know who have had similar experiences and suffered significant financial losses. From the patterns we observed, it appears that U.S.-based investors may be particularly vulnerable to this type of activity. I cannot independently verify who operates these wallets, whether they are connected to Phantom, or whether U.S. investors are specifically being targeted, so I’m sharing this as a serious concern based on what I personally experienced and what others have told me.
These experiences contributed to significant financial losses for me—around $40,000 overall. I believe crypto platforms need much stronger protections against wallet tracking, automated manipulation, and scams targeting ordinary investors.
I’m sharing this review to document my experience and warn other US users to be extremely careful when transferring funds into self-custody wallets and trading memecoins.

Too many changes, UI sucks now
Too many updates, the simplicity was its biggest selling point. Now there are too many features, too many menus, too much information on one screen. Roll it back Phantom, this ain’t it.
Do not use, you will lose your money and support won’t help
I did an ach transfer after trying to use apple wallet to get my money out. I did express, the withdrawal says completed, but I haven’t received my money in a week and support won’t respond now. When they did respond, they blamed me and told me to wait it out. This is an urgent matter, you’re playing with peoples money here.

Was the best. Now the worst.
My phantom wallet only interacts with 2 other addresses. Today it said “This is not an address you've interacted with recently. Please proceed with caution.” About an address I use almost daily. It was the correct address. Why add stress to using crypto. I understand wanting to be safe but if you send out warnings on legit addresses people will just ignore all warnings.

Eu abri um short de $5 no qual a todo o momento o gráfico estava a meu favor. Quando a posição abriu ja estava em 3.3$. Só aí já sumiram mais de 20% do valor que eu coloquei sem falar o lucro que estava realizando. Quando fechei a posição ainda com lucro que também devem ter comido aí, totalizou no perps APENAS 4$. E melhor, o saque mínimo é de 5$!!!! Hahahhaha.
Aí eu te pergunto , Como você entra com um valor maior , lucra e sai com um valor menor? E não foi a primeira vez que grandes porcentagens de valores simplesmente sumiram em transações . A Phantom está PÉSSIMA !!!!

APP TAKES A FULL DAY TO REGISTER BUYS
If you want to jump in on a crypto asap this is not the app for you and honestly idk what idiots would use this app. I have consistently had issues with trades taking over a day to show in my wallet meaning I can’t even sell them when I want I have to wait for them to appear I had one take a FULL WEEK TO SHOW IN MY ACCOUNT. They have consistently stolen money from me and there AI help is useless go use pump.fun this app is absolutely the worst for trading crypto

This app was the best Solana wallet out there for years. Unfortunately that have made so many poor choices in changes to the web browser that the app is pretty much unusable now for a lot of things. Hoping this goes back to the good browser soon to restore this apps place as the top. Until then though I gotta use something else
