Buyer Beware!
I specifically bought the Voice Tracer because it advertised that it could transfer the recordings to my phone. Well that was a waste of money. I have the Voice Tracer DVT4110. The recorder works fine. But it won’t connect to my phone (16 Pro Max). My phone is up to date. I also reset the Voice Tracer several times and downloaded and updated the Firmware. If you by chance see this before buying the Voice Tracer. Don’t!

Basic but functional
This app works reasonably well, but there are few limitations. Firstly to get the app to connect to your Philips VoiceTracer you need to enable the ‘Maximise compatibility’ option and that really should be mentioned on the set up screen. Secondly it would be great if the recorder would remember the Wi-Fi network! It’s a real pain to set it up each time, but I guess that is a problem with the recorder and not the app.

Rubbish app
The Philips Voicetracer devices cannot see iPhone Personal Hotspots, and depend on wifi for connectivity. It’s a waste of time even downloading this.
Force stops
Recorder is good, this app not so much. Can only advance 10 seconds at a time then force stops
Can’t register
Good voice recorder. This reviews is not aimed at the recorder. The app will not let me register by saying that my email address is not valid! I use that email for everything! Why is it deemed invalid?!
dreadful
Totally useless. I was trying to delete folders as they are full. Impossible to do on the recorder. Impossible to do on the voice app as suggested. Have wasted hours trying to get the recorder to work accurately. File system very poor. Unable to rename files. Not possible for secretary to work out whether I have forgotten to send any files as it only date and time stamped and there is no number and no way of altering filename. Do not buy

Terrible system
It doesn't do the most basic things correctly. It regularly will download the wrong file from the recorder. One file is shown, yet another one with a different length starts to play when you attempt to open it. The app then won't let you download the file you want because it thinks it already is downloaded. You will lose important recordings if you use this system. This has happened so many times I will have to use something else from now on.

Philips VoiceTracer Recorder
I bought the Phillips VoiceTracer Recorder recently and ran into the following issues:
1. Hotspot function is finicky even when smart phone is very close to the voice recorder, with a broken and unintelligible voice on the recording.
2. When the audio files from the VoiceTracer recorder are transferred to the iphone, and is played on the smartphone, there is no voice in the recording!!
3. When the audio file is sent via the email function, it does not work and the audio file cannot be attached and sent to the email address.
It appearsThat proper testing of the app and function has not been done by the developer. This is a big disappointment on the functionality of the voice recorder functionality.

App is a great idea
When I try to use the app it doesn’t play back with any sound app is a great idea but isn’t working
