Avoid this wallet and company
I was very excited to use this app with its non custodial, set up
And ease of use. I made my first deposit successfully with no issues whatsoever as a test. I then made my second deposit to the same address and the funds did not arrive. I contacted the support documenting the error fully with all the details. In have spent countless hours trying to recover the funds that are successfully logged on the blockchain but never arrived on the phoenix app. The support continues to be short, dissmissive and even coming across rude, of clear evidence, of what I’m sure is a technical error on their side. I will never use this app again and will be seeking further advise on how to recover the funds that have ‘disappeared’

This is not a lightning node wallet where you can make money off of transfers. The are locking your crypto in so they can make money.

I can’t understand how this wallet has so few reviews. I tested several, and after using this one for almost a year, I’ve had no issues and no complaints. Channel management is easy, and it supports bolt12. The visuals and UX are amazing — highly recommended.

Do your homework before you use this app. Most of the bad reviews are from cranked users that don’t understand lightning channels, or how Phoenix works. Read their docs on their website. 0.4% on lightning is STEEP, but they gotta fund their business, so take it or leave it 🤷♂️

Fix display UI correctly
I love the app but the ui is trash incorrectly displayed one milli bitcoin is 113$ currently or 100,000 sats but why in the world would you display it incorrectly it's not 1.00 000 wrong wrong wrong it's 1.000 00 it's 1000 ƀ not 100 the last 2 digits are sats why's there a bit next to sats how am I supposed to price in Millie's if your misplacing the decimal just makes it harder to read

Bad feedback from support
After some years, my channel for suddenly force closed. Even support communicated with me, I haven’t got transparent answer why it happen. I am not going to use this app anymore.
Good but not for interacting with onchain
LN part is great. But onchain part is crazy - inbound transactions increase liquidity, but outbound transactions decrease, so you loose you expensive channel when you send your stacked sats to the Trezor and have to buy it again.
Reliable and easy to use
Phoenix is such a great product, I get to hold my own keys yet make fast and cheap Lightning payments. The app connects fast and always works.
