Phonto is an application designed to allow users to add text to their photos. It offers a wide range of customization options for text, including over 400 fonts, adjustable sizes, colors, gradients, and the ability to create curved or perspective text. Users can also add decorative items and share their edited photos directly to social media platforms.
You can install custom fonts in Phonto by using iTunes. Connect your iOS device to your computer, select it in iTunes, go to the Apps tab, and find Phonto in the File Sharing section. Drag and drop your .ttf or .otf font files into the 'Documents' folder, then restart Phonto to use them.
Phonto is available for free, but it does offer in-app purchases. While the core functionality of adding text and using a large selection of fonts is free, there may be additional features or content available for purchase within the app.
Phonto offers extensive text effects, allowing you to change text size, color, and gradient. You can also modify the stroke and shadow colors, add a background color to text, rotate text, adjust kerning and line spacing, and create curved or perspective text. Parts of the text can also be erased for more advanced designs.
Phonto is specifically designed for adding text to photos. If you are looking to add text to videos, the description suggests trying the Vont app, which is mentioned as a free alternative available on the App Store for video text editing.
