no trial mode

would be nice to have a trial of the app before you think about a subscription. 30 days sounds good as a trial period opening app and tell them to buy a subscription will put people off at first until they test the app. this way they can feedback to you of what to improve in the app.untell it to 30 day free trial, I’m giving it one star.

Look elsewhere

This app looked promising until I started using it. There are many apps online through the same thing, but for cheaper money. There is a place to add devices, but you can’t even add that only a link to purchase their devices. I already have two of their devices. I don’t need anymore. I’m still trying to figure out where the AI comes in, but there are many cheaper alternatives. I was going to buy perceptual license right now it’s not worth it. This app needs a lot of work and should be cheaper.

Time slider doesn’t work !

Not great as when move time slider the time doesn’t change so can’t plan time of photograph - what’s the point?

Now only works with subscription

Really loved this app, but can't afford a subscription. Since the latest 2 updates, there's an overlay, that's not possible to dismiss, that requires you to have / sign up for a subscription to use the app at all. Sad! Deleting for now.

Great app if the information was actually correct!

I signed up for the free trial and was ready to purchase the lifetime version of it because of how convenient everything is - especially the calendar of events!

…that is, until I started looking elsewhere for the events the calendar listed and to my surprise every single event on this app’s calendar was on a different day - some one day ahead, some one day behind. Some several days from when this app listed it!

It seemed too good to be true - lighting, rocket launches, moon cycles, etc etc all in one spot? That would sign me up for sure. But now I can’t trust anything on the app because the calendar dates aren’t reliable.

Fails to finish loading

I purchased this via a discount offer to buyers of their hardware, but it failed to load, stalling at a screen asking for permissions to use the location (which I granted), the camera (ditto) and the calendar. That’s where it locked up. The Continue button was non-responsive. The app would not complete launching. I cancelled my subscription right away. I’m not paying for an app that can’t even launch.

second attempt

Still no free trial, but I decided to spend 1$/month and give it a try. When planning on iPhone 11 app is super laggy, takes 2-3 seconds to refresh the pin when zoomed in to properly set the target, and when I move time with “time scroll” it jumps 20-40min at the time, I can’t get minute by minute precision, when scrolling time bar to much I can crash the app every time in 10 seconds of using it. After 8 crashes I gave up. 2 stars for 1$/m sub but it should be 1 because it is literally unworkable on iPhone 11.

Amazing piece of software!

This is an exciting app. Yes as others have mentioned there is another seasoned app out there already but this gem is clearly going to fill a niche of high functionality and ease of use! I am very grateful this app is here and can’t wait to see where it goes. I love the simplicity and polish on the app as well as new features not seen in other apps!

MIOPS USUALLY DOES BETTER

I own many MIOPS hardware Products and they all exceed expectations. The sun moon app looks to be their first software only solution and It looks as if they missed the mark here as this does only some of what the competitor does. I think it’s obvious who developed that other app, and the MIOPS app does not seem to bring anything new to the table here. Even if they did, they’re behind the curve and I for one will be staying with the (other) mature product. Sorry Miops - I’m a big fan and promote your products at my photo club meetings, but this time I say stick with what you do best - i.e. Hardware with a dedicated app - that’s your niche.

Nothing of value without paying a monthly sub

This app is free but all the features you would want are hidden behind a pay walll leading you to a monthly subscription. Pass on this app.
