iPad need work

iPad could use some more work. Needs to rotate with full view, at the rotation. Currently you have to till your head to see it correctly. If you rotate the iPad, you get a bad resolution.

Do not buy

The program is not user-friendly and I wouldn’t not recommend anybody to buy it

A new lease on life for my R8 thanks to Arsenal.

I had pretty much relegated my Canon R8 to the camera bag save for special occasions. For pretty much everything, my iPhone sufficed. I have a decent setup, highlighted by a Canon 200-800 lens. To say it is fiddly would be an understatement and it is work to get an image out of it. Then I discovered Arsenal Pro 2 and the Arsenal 2 software that turns my phone and R8 into, for me, a camera saver. Out of the box, I did a walkabout in my Old Town neighborhood. Then, just for kicks, I tried it with my 200-800. While I still have somewhat of a learning curve setting up native camera settings to optimize the images, I was literally able to get the package to perform like never before. The Arsenal works best when paired with this software and my iPhone, but there is a handheld mode that allows you to run sans phone…which for my walkabout - or for daily use - is perfect. Have not tried any of the stacking features next…but to this point, Arsenal has given my R8 a new lease on life…imagine if your iPhone camera was…a better camera. That is exactly what the Arsenal Pro 2 turns your mirrorless or DSLR camera into. Bravo. Keep up the good work.

Doesn’t stay connected to camera

This thing takes one shot, and loses connection to camera or locks up. Focus stack, gets one pic then locks up and loses connection to camera. I will try a different cable, someone else said their cables are junk. We shall see.
Update: I finally got it to connect and stay connected, but only if both camera and arsenal have charged batteries. I had 25% charge on camera, but a fresh battery in and it worked great. But that means holy grail timelapse may suffer on long timelapse shots.
