Find it fast. Show it off. Introducing Search with a dedicated Search tab to quickly locate any photo. Type a place like “Tokyo,” an album name, or combine filters for dates, videos, screenshots, and favorites. Place search runs entirely on your device, so your photos and their locations never leave it. Slideshows that just work. Start a slideshow from any album, or select a few photos and let them play immediately. A more fluid gallery. Photos now expand right from their thumbnails and smoothly settle back when you’re done. Swipe up on any photo for a redesigned info view, including a map that shows where it was taken. Select by dragging. Sweep across the grid with your finger to select many photos at once, and see the selection count update as you go. Better video playback. Unmuted videos now play with sound even when the ringer is on silent. Audio continues naturally between videos, and playback resumes correctly after you switch apps. And much more.
