About

Check your privacy before you share A photo carries more than you see. GPS coordinates of where it was taken, your phone model, the exact capture time — and inside the picture itself: faces, ID documents, bank cards, license plates, phone numbers. Privacy Photo Guard finds all of it on your device before you hit send. Everything runs locally. No account, no upload, no server. It works in airplane mode. WHAT IT FINDS 17 kinds of privacy risk, each summed into a 1-5 star privacy score: location, ID card, passport, bank card, license plate, phone number, email, address, QR code, barcode, face, express slip, employee badge, school name, business card, delivery box, and sensitive screenshot content. PHOTO TOOLS • One-Tap Scan — every risk in one report, with Fix All • Share Guard — pick a scenario (second-hand listing, job application, group-chat screenshot, social post) and get a clean version in one tap • Smart Redaction — 6 styles: mosaic, gaussian blur, black bar, white bar, emoji cover, smart fill • EXIF Inspector — view and wipe metadata, or clear only the location • Safe Export — strips metadata, compresses, then re-reads the file to verify the data really is gone before opening the share sheet • Editor — 9 filters, brightness / contrast / saturation, rotation, and text watermarks in 5 positions • Long Image Stitch — merge up to 30 screenshots, vertical or horizontal • Compress & Convert — hit a target size (200 KB, 5 MB or custom) and convert between JPEG, HEIC and PNG • Batch — up to 50 photos at a time: scan, redact and strip metadata together • Screenshot & Family Privacy — up to 20 images at once: review what was detected, type in names or other details the scanner cannot guess, then export the covered version • Portrait Photos — standard sizes with the background replaced by a clean solid colour BEYOND PHOTOS • Video privacy — inspects every frame, then exports a copy with faces, on-screen text and codes covered and the audio muted (clips up to 2 minutes) • PDF privacy — finds sensitive text and images, and exports pages rebuilt from pixels, so hidden text layers, form fields and attachments do not travel with the file (up to 150 pages) • Motion photo and HEIC tools — turn a motion photo into a still and drop the depth data • Share Extension — clean a photo straight from the system share sheet, without opening the app • Monthly Health Report — how many scans you ran, which risks keep coming back, and whether your average score is improving • Automation — run metadata removal from inside your device's automation app, without opening this one MULTILINGUAL Text detection follows your region and uses the languages your device supports: English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian and more. License plate detection covers Chinese, EU, UK, US, Japanese, Korean and other formats. WHY IT IS SAFE TO USE • Photos never leave your device, so there is nothing to breach • Free to download. No subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases • Scan history stays on your device and can be cleared any time Good for selling second-hand items, sharing travel photos, sending document screenshots, posting group pictures, and archiving paperwork.

What's New in PhotoPrivacyGuard

1.0.11

October 27, 2026

• Blur and mosaic are now sized to the thing you cover, not just to the whole photo: a small face in a large group shot gets coarser blocks and a wider blur than before. • Address detection also reads postcode-plus-city lines (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, the UK, Canada, Japan, Korea). It used to need a street name. • When a face or a line of text is missed for an instant, video export keeps the cover on for a short moment instead of flashing the unedited frame back. • Batch scan now tells you which photos could not be read, instead of counting them as zero risks. • The default masking style you pick in Settings is remembered; it used to reset every time you reopened the app. • If a picture cannot be decoded, the app says so instead of opening an empty editing canvas. • Image work runs further in the background, so the interface stays more responsive during long scans; the tool grid now uses the extra room on wider screens.
