How can something so simple be made so complicated, hard to use, AND devoid of features?!
It’s absurd how bad this is given the years of understanding of apps like these ought to function, and as the staple of Apple nonetheless. UI choices are making me regret getting an iPhone every day…
Safety filter can’t be turned off
I dislike that when I am editing a photo, the app decides I need to use the safety filter. I am an adult. That is unnecessary. If want to show a little nip that’s my choice, now let me edit the background without pixelating everything….
Bring back old photos 😔✌️
Give me back old photos or Im using google photos
Icloud sync is really bad
It takes way too long for it to automatically sync photos between devices. Even the sync now button does not appear most of the time. It is easier to just upload videos and photos to google drive manually. That way I know they will be in every device when I need them. And if you try to edit a photo you lose the transparent background, long gone are the days where apple was for creative work.

Stuck syncing. No details.
I am really tired of seeing my iCloud saying that it’s syncing items and it appears to be stuck. When I try to troubleshoot it I cannot see what photos/videos are the issue. Just tired of Apple being a “premium” brand but lacks basic functionality. I have a 1gb fiber connection and no reason that this should take so long and not have any way to troubleshoot the actual cause. When I call an Apple support, they can’t help you either. You literally have to guess and check every single photo that you’ve taken over the past month or two to be able to figure out what the issue is. Just tired of this app and Apple more and more each day.

Super bad at this complication stuff
I like photos but not when it comes to messages = photos so I was saving a video but for some reason it WOULD NOT SHOW UP IN LIBRARY so I crashed out and was like “why is this stupid thing not working!!!!” and then my mom told me it could be in videos but that makes absolutely ZERO sense why won’t it just show up in library NORMALLY, Apple please fix this 😭😭😭

What I like about photos…
What can I say about the photos app? To start it’s pretty good,I can take videos and pictures with this app obviously.I like how it’s add free.What I don’t like about it is when it tells me when my storage is full.It’s honestly annoying.And another thing I don’t like about it is some of my pictures are fuzzy,and I don’t know if that’s me or if it’s the app,so could that be fix please?Now for the thangs I do like about this app.On a show GOOD LUCK CHAIRLE

Can’t delete
This app refuses to put my most recent photos at the top. I have to scroll endlessly to the bottom. What is worse, I absolutely can’t delete the app. I am sure that it is an APPLE+GOOGLE issue but both companies are proving to be useless

good but i wish that we could put our photos into folders without them still being visible in the ‘all’ thing. odd complaint but seeing them all messy stresses me out and the folders don’t fully fold them away
Nearly unusable
The update within the last year extremely complicated the app, it is so hard to find even your latest photo let alone anything else. It is overcrowded and counterintuitive. Please change it.
Awful
Every update makes this dumb app more difficult to navigate. Apple really has no ideas anymore and are just changing things for the sake of an another “update”. As monotonous as each iteration of the iphone.
Lock aspect ratio
Whoever came up with the idea to lock the aspect ratio as a default should be fired.
Google Photos is far better
Doesn’t sync properly, they want to force you to buy storage. Search engine is stupid, can’t recognize a green rock for example. Then can’t remove or uninstall.
Duplicates
It needs some serious updates like say the duplicate detection thing it takes forever to identify duplicates
