Glitchy
When it works it’s great and very easy to use but the majority of the time it gets stuck on the open “synch latest data” page and is unusable, which is a shame. It’s been doing this for a while so surprised it’s still so glitchy 🤷♀️

This worked briefly and was great however it then wouldn’t synch data and even when uninstalled and started again refuses to synch. Great idea terrible code

Log-in sync
The app is stuck at log-in sync and no longer of use!
Broken - stuck on login sync page
This was a good app but after changing my RCP password I was prompted to login again.
I have tried multiple times deleting the app, turning phone on & off and reinstalling but it never gets past the login sync page (I have even tried leaving it overnight - no difference).
At present unusable which is a shame.

Great when it works, but sometimes loses entire entries
The first few times I used the app, it was brilliant, on either phone or iPad. It is great to be able to record entries at the time. However, I have now had 3 occasions when it has lost an entire entry, my notes on a whole day’s course. I think this occurred when the WiFi to the iPad was cutting in and out, almost as if it was saving an empty entry over the top. You can imagine how infuriating this was, especially as it had been saving successfully earlier in the day. My solution is now that I NEVER type directly into the app, and only cut and paste entries in from notes. I would advise you do the same, especially if like me you sometimes do quite long entries. The dismay and frustration it can cause in the middle of a course or conference really isn’t worth the risk.

Frozen on start up
I have reinstalled the app multiple times on different devices and the app is unable to get past the initial sync.
Initially very useful but then it stopped working
I found this app initially very helpful as it enabled me to record my CPD immediately and easily keep up to date with logging activities. While it was working (with my iPhone 7) it was great but just before my appraisal I discovered that the app on my iPhone had stopped synchronising with the web based CPD and hence had not recorded anything centrally for several months. This meant I had to transfer everything manually via my computer into the web based CPD page which took several hours. I then deleted the app and reinstalled it to try and get it working again but it still would not synchronise and I cannot use it. I hope you can come up with a fix for this?

App is an important advance for busy clinical staff
The principal advantage of this app is being able to make entries ‘live’ while at the event. This helps to take the pain out of record keeping for Revalidation.
Sync seems slow even with a good data connection.
I’m surprised it took the College so long to produce this app. Now if the RCP would overhaul the interface for the web based diary which has progressed little since I first started using it in 2001/2!

Doesn’t always sync with web entries
Generally good and great idea to make it easier to record CPD contemporaneously.
However, mine does not seem to sync reliably with web, so entries on the web sometimes don’t show up on app, nor do changes in PDP etc.
Previous years CPD as a result are showing as less than 50 hours on the app when I have done more than 50. This is frustrating.

Frustrating
Initially a 5 star app which enables input of CPD and reflection with an easy interface. However, having put in 2 events recently, with extensive reflection on each, they have both disappeared. They only seem to remain visible when some aspects have yet to be competed. Once all sections are filled in it disappears when I log in later on. Not impressed.

Excellent accessibility for recording CPD, need option to logging modern ways of learning
Excellent accessibility to logging CPD to enable recording much more activity than we would remember when doing retrospectively. Will make preparations for annual appraisals faster.
One area for improvement under personal CPD is to have the option to log internet-based learning (Podcasts, webinars, etc). Currently have to put Podcasts under distant learning. Also for these to be able to log e.g. 0.5 hours as otherwise have to sometimes log 2-3 Podcasts together as one entry to make the 1 hour true

It’s good, much better than the website!
I’ve trialled this app. It is really useful for real time input of CPD, reflection on CPD and recording it simply.
The voice recognition is generally good and welcomed. A guide to how to use the voice recognition would be helpful - such as to say numbers, etc.
As more people use the app I’m sure features will be refined further. Uploading documents rather than just photos is coming soon I hope. Thank you RCP.

Great App - at long last
Thankfully the RCP have created this app to enter your CPD which synchs directly with your CPD diary. It’s easy to use and means there isn’t an excuse not to enter a meeting or conference again.

This App is fantastic! Thanks RCP. It’s going to help me keep on top of recording my CPD rather than doing it all at the end of the year. Really easy to use. Better than the on line version.

When trying to up load attachments it only lets you load from your photos.

Attachements don’t work
This app is long overdue. It is beautiful and a brilliant idea, meaning that we can capture our CPD on the move. However, I have been unable to view attachments from existing entries, and worse still, am unable to upload attachments to entries made from within the app. This glitch, if fixed, would make the app superb.
