Comprehensive resource to find every chord you would ever want. Also has very useful sections on circle of fifths, notation and other related material. Recommended.

アプリ内購入だったのがいつの間にかサブスクに移行していて値段も爆上げ。ギターのコードも表示出来なくなっているし、内蔵楽器も音が鳴らないうえに選べないバグも放置されたまま。なぜストアに残っているのか理解できない。

Can’t restore purchases
I paid for the pro version on both my Apple and android devices when it cost I think maybe $5. This was a high price for an app then, but I felt this app was worth it. I loved the chord/scale search functionality and interface. I am unable to restore my purchases now. I would gladly pay $5 again for a new license, but I cannot explain or justify paying almost $100 for what this app does. A few beautiful functions applied to an extensive library is not such powerful computing. Besides, if I spent that outrageous cost, how long can I expect them to honor my purchase? Will they revoke my license again once they convert to subscription based access?

Has it all and doesn't need of an intricate system to make it function and over all, feel as a fine art product. I've been playing with it since my 10's; now's the time to really embrace all the potential this app offers...

Crash and chord detection
basically the App is Great, but: it crashes frequently when playing with a Midi Keyboard connected on an IPad M2 which makes it useless. Also I am really sad that the chord detection doesnt really work will with more than five keys pressed.

App not running
We are in January 2025, and I have downloaded This Piano Companion App, but when I try to run it, it enters an endless loop, and it will not pass from that point.
App funktioniert nicht mehr richtig.
Beim Starten der App dreht sich nur noch das Ladesymbol.
Very useful
Very useful as an aid for interpreting and understanding written chord notations in sheet music.
I've used it with Vince Guaraldi's "A Charlie Brown Christmas" piano music and various works by George Winston. Winston's compositions in particular make use of chords and chord progressions.
The time spent studying the pieces sans piano but with this software was rewarding.

Good app if bugs were fixed
Great app, good tool for learning chords. One annoying bug is that occasionally when I’m the piano progression section the app will immediately send you back to the Home Screen of the app over and over again until you restart the app only for the problem to happen again. Makes it almost unusable at times but when the app works it’s great

continui crash e popping usandola con una tastiera midi. Nella pagina degli accordi la tastiera non riproduce gli accordi se suonati con la tastiera midi per non permettere di analizzarli
App needs work for basic functionality
The content of this app is great, it’s basically a chord and scale encyclopedia. Excellent reference tool. But it is so buggy that it’s virtually unusable. In the scales / chord dictionary sections, about 65% of the time there is no sound when you click the scale. You can open the scale and click individual notes which produces sound, but not from the main scale or chord dictionary pages. I have to keep hard closing the app over and over again until it decided to boot up with volume. I’ve run into similar issues in the chord progression section, where instead of playing back the chord, it’s just a single note.. (and I’m familiar with the chord / arpeggio settings in chord progression, not a settings issue)… This also can only be resolved (IF it decides to resolve) by hard exiting the app and reopening. Sometimes one reboot will get it to work and sometimes I reset the app 10 times and still can’t get any sound out of it, then all of a sudden it works. It’s a great idea for an app, but there are also a million apps that do the same thing as this one.

Der dargestellte Quintenzirkel ist für mich sehr verwirrend. Leider habe ich die Abweichung erst nach dem Kauf wahrgenommen. Das Programm ist für mich daher nicht gut zu verwenden.
Links finden sich in einem Quintenzirkel normalerweise die b-Tonarten und rechts die # Tonarten. Fünf Kreuze wären also gleich B (H) und nicht Ces, da ja Ces 5 ‚b‘ als Vorzeichen hat. Auf Ces als enharmonische Verwechslung wird in Quintenzirkeldarstellungen maximal hingewiesen. So wie hier, habe ich es jedenfalls noch nicht gesehen.
Ich kann das Programm zwar umstellen und sagen es soll Zweideutigkeit in # (Kreuz) auflösen, aber dann habe ich auf der linken Seite des Quintenzirkels statt ‚Des’ ein ‚Cis‘ - also eine Kreuztonart.
Wen das nicht stört…
