About
Picami matches you with someone nearby who is also free, sends you both to a public spot, and you photograph each other on your own phones.
Fifteen minutes. No tripod. No favour owed.
HOW IT WORKS
Post when you are free. Picami shows you people nearby whose free time overlaps with yours. Ask one of them for a session, or answer someone who asks you.
When a session is agreed, Picami suggests five public meeting places - parks and squares, ranked by which sit closest to the midpoint between you. The person you asked picks one.
You meet, you photograph each other, you keep your own photos. Nothing passes through the app.
WHY IT EXISTS
Good photographs of yourself are hard to come by. Asking a stranger produces a blurry arm's length snapshot. Hiring a photographer costs a few hundred euros and feels like a production. Picami is neither: it is somebody in the same situation as you, for fifteen minutes, in a park.
SAFETY
You meet in public, always. Meeting places come from a reviewed list of parks and squares - never a free-text address, so a meeting point can never be somebody's home.
Every session, and every person in Discover, carries a report-and-block control. Blocking is immediate and works both ways; the person is not told.
Phone numbers are verified once and then stored only as a one-way hash. Your number is never shown to anybody.
You can send a link to a friend showing where you are and who you are meeting. They do not need the app to open it.
WHAT IT IS NOT
Not a dating app. Not a marketplace for photographers. Not a place the photos you take are uploaded, stored or judged.
Paris to begin with.

What's New in Picami
1.0.1
September 22, 2026
Tap someone in Discover to open their profile: their photo, where they are, and every time they are free, each with its own request button. Tap a photo to see it full screen. Also fixed: setting up your profile no longer needs a second tap on Save, your own photo now appears on the Account screen, and deleting and reinstalling the app now starts you signed out.
