Great app but some flaws
I tried this app out to do writing again and it’s great does everything I need to do to write and has basic tools to fix it. One problem though is I wanna print the stuff I write on this app but I swear on everything I don’t see a option for “print” or “copy” so if you maybe update the app so I can print it that would be nice otherwise this app is pretty good!!.

Minimalist’s Dream
Best in class. Developer is responsive, too. I was an early adopter, before Timothy went to the off-putting subscription model. (I’m not a fan of paying for an app in perpetuity.) Fingers are crossed he’ll at least add a lifetime licensing option. If so, Pieces is well worth the price of admission, and you can try it for free.

Loved the concept but forced to buy subscription
Loved the minimalistic style but after 3 pieces you are forced to buy a subscription. I knew there was a money grab but I thought it could still be usable, but nope. Uninstalling.

I’ve tried many tools in this category, and for my purposes Pieces clearly stands apart.
Where most apps become cluttered or prescriptive, Pieces stays flexible, fast, and genuinely useful for thinking, organizing, and retrieving work over time. It fits naturally into my workflow rather than forcing me to adapt to it.
No product is perfect for everyone, but if you value clarity, speed, and a tool that respects how you actually think and work, Pieces is well worth serious consideration.

Once great, now an annoyance to be deleted
I purchased Pieces sometime ago, when it was available for a reasonable one time fee. I enjoyed it and made it a part of my daily routine. Sadly, the author of the program recently switched to a recurring fee based payment schedule. Had the new recurring fee based system left prior purchasers of the product unaffected, it would have been forgivable. That isn’t the case. Instead, long time owners are now hit with a pop up every time they open the program. They then need to go through a purchase restoration process. To be clear: this is not a one time restoration. Legacy users need to do this over and over again. It’s an intolerable nuisance, one that caused me to abandon the program.
For new users considering purchasing Pieces at the subscription rate: I can assure you as a long time user that the program isn’t worth anywhere close to the amount a subscription user would end up paying. The product isn’t even remotely worthy of consideration at that price. It’s absurd.
To long time users who purchased under the one time fee program: I’d encourage you to submit reviews akin to mine until Pieces removes the pop up for users who purchased via a one time fee. Trust has been broken. We are being cheated. We deserve better.

Hi, thank you for leaving this review and sorry for the annoyance you’ve faced in the app. It seems something has gone wrong as existing users of the app should not have to do the purchase restoration every time they use the app. There should be a popup asking old users if they want to switch model but you should just see that once. I’ll try push an update out as soon as possible.

I LOVE this app, I’ve been searching for something like this since I could write my book and keep my things organized. But every single app I tried didn’t let me use them unless I paid them and the cost was WAY to expensive. But when I found this app it was perfect it let you write anything it keep everything organized and it let you change things in the way you wanted, but like any other app you have to pay for it, BUT the price was $8.00 for a whole year which is incredibly cheap for me. And after paying you were allowed to change sizes and styles. I definitely recommend this app!!

Brilliant but!!
Hi there I love this app I have been using it to store ideas and notes for my research the only thing and the only thing missing is image addition if that can be done it will be fantastic - as an artist researcher this would a blessing if you could add that otherwise it’s just sooo good!!!

It’s a really good app but
It’s such a good app and I truly do recommend but 1 thing idk if it’s just me but idk how to write more than one piece or idk how to add another piece I really hope I get feedback on how to do this because it’s very confusing but if your someone who just likes to focus on 1 piece of writing anyways I say you should download the app RIGHT NOW

Beautiful app but please fix this error
After trying every other writing app I could possibly find, I decided on this one because it’s easy to use, simple, and allows you change your font and text size. Upon using the app for a day or two, I decided to pay for the upgraded version which allows you to have unlimited notes. Shortly after buying, however, I noticed a fatal flaw that is preventing me from comfortably using the app. I’m making a review in hopes the developer can repair it.
The glitch I’m experiencing is whenever I open a note, it will occasionally completely erase all the text, and if you type a character in this state, the content of the note will be permanently gone. I’ve been able to catch it a few times and restart the app (before typing a character) and my note will remain, but other times I’ve not been so fortunate. I’ve not been able to find an undo button, but perhaps that would be a good solution until the main problem gets fixed, and a nice permanent addition to the app in general.
Overall, this app would be a great addition to your workflow and I’d gladly change my review to five stars if this were to get fixed because it’s definitely deserving of it otherwise.

Efficient, beautiful design
I have been looking for the perfect minimalist writing app for years, and this is definitely it. Hoping that it will one day be available for Mac since I do most of my writing on my laptop.
Very nice app but with a few problems
This is a cool app with lots of potential, but there’s some problems with the feedback button and as well trying to center the text without the words going off the screen.

Ужасное приложение.Платить надо за все , буквально. «Плати тварь дрожащая, ты не имеешь право бесплатно писать»Вот девиз этого приложения. Также хотелось бы перевода на другие языки ( например: русский) Приложение не подходит начинающим писателям , так как доходы у них ограничены. Надеюсь это приложение изменят и сделают ее бесплатной и с переводом на другие языки , лишним это точно не будет. Спасибо.

О покупке
Приложение нормальное, но за все буквально надо платить деньги! Даже за случайное удаление заметки! Либо уберите везде ставить эти покупки, либо мало ли будет им кто-то пользоваться (говорю про людей как я, которые не хотят платить деньги)
