Inaccurate

It counted wayyyy more than there actually was. I’m not even sure where the extra it was counting was coming from considering my workspace was clean. It’d be a good app if it counted correctly

Didn’t count correctly even once.

I tried it several times over the course of a week and always had to correct it. I understand that it’s ultimately up to you to make sure it’s correct, counters are not perfect. However more often than not it was so far off that I was amazed. Additionally, the blue box marker that appears on the detected items is large and obscures the defining edges of the tabs/capsules so when there are a lot of tabs close together it hinders your ability to clearly identify and mark undetected ones.

Get closer

All the app says is “get closer”. Needs work. Wouldn’t trust for any kind of serious count.

Unreliable

I typically use another pill counting app at work and it works great. Unfortunately, it only gives you so many free counts per day, which left me scrambling for another app. Came across this app and was very hopeful. It is very often in accurate. it’s constantly picking up shadows from the counting tray, it doesn’t seem to understand and it gets confused very easily. This is not an appropriate app for anybody who works with prescription medication’s. This is more like a kid counting how many skittles they have in their Halloween bag

What does pillphill do?

pillphill is a mobile application designed to count tablets and capsules using your device's camera. It utilizes cloud-assisted technology to provide accurate counts, making it useful for healthcare professionals in pharmacies and medical offices for medication dispensing and inventory management.

How accurate is pillphill?

Internal testing shows high accuracy rates, with up to 99% for circular tablets, 98% for other tablets, and 96% for capsules. Accuracy can be further improved by manual corrections after the initial count.

What is the cost of pillphill?

The app offers a freemium model. Users receive 10 minutes of daily cloud-assisted compute time, which is sufficient for about 60 pill trays. For unlimited usage and an ad-free experience, a Professional subscription is available on a monthly, auto-renewing basis.

What devices is pillphill compatible with?

The app requires iOS 13.0 or later. Live Mode, for real-time counting, is available on specific iPhone and iPad models listed in the app description.

When would I use pillphill?
