Tell the app where you fly and it fetches the map, airspace and terrain for it in one go. And while you have signal, the offline map now fills in everything you have not downloaded. NEW — SET UP OFFLINE FLYING • Mobile signal fades a few hundred feet above the ground, so download your area once, on the ground. Set Up Offline Flying opens at launch while your device holds no offline map for your region, and stays in Downloads as the Offline Setup card. • It starts with what already works without signal — airports and navaids, METAR and TAF with their age, NOTAMs for your favourite airports, trips and flight recording, traffic from your receiver, sunrise, sunset and night, Captain's Corner — and what the download adds: the moving map, airspace and terrain. • It finds your country from your GPS position, or from your device's region, and tells you which it used. Take the country, its whole continent or the world. Each choice shows its size, checks your free space and warns before a large download over mobile data. • Progress is shown for each part, and the map keeps downloading if you close the app. Everything it fetches appears in its own Downloads screen. • "Ready to fly offline" appears only when nothing is missing. If a country's airspace cannot be fetched, it tells you which. NEW — THE OFFLINE MAP, ONLINE • With signal, the offline base map fills its gaps from our own servers: countries you have not downloaded, and zoom levels deeper than your download. Same map data as the downloads, so the joins do not show. • Without signal those areas stay empty, as before. The missing-tiles warning and Pack This Flight still count only what is on your device, so an area filled in online never passes for one you can fly offline. NEW — AIRPORT DATA • Refreshed: 86,094 airports (377 new), 48,248 runways and 30,346 frequencies, including navaid frequency changes. • 799 airports now carry their official ICAO code, the one their METAR, TAF and NOTAMs are published under — Lusaka FLKK, Harare FVRG and Western Sydney YSWS among them. Searching for a former code still finds the airport. PREMIUM • Never had the 14-day Premium trial? It starts when you open this version: trip planning, airport and navaid details and unlimited AI Copilot, with no account and no payment details. Afterwards the moving map, airspace, weather layers and live traffic stay free, and anything you create is kept. • The Premium screen now lists exactly what Premium adds — trip planning with winds aloft, the terrain and airspace profile of your route, NOTAMs along it, the offline check for every flight, the nav-log PDF, full airport details and unlimited AI Copilot. IMPROVED • Airspace downloads started from different places — Pack This Flight, the airspace cross-section, Aviation Data, the weekly refresh — now run one after another, each with its own Stop, and say "Waiting for another download…" while they wait. • Every Downloads screen has a labelled Downloads button back to the hub, from any depth.
