Route planning gains the two things it was missing: the real ground beneath your route, and real winds in the navigation log. NEW — TERRAIN PROFILE • The cross-section now draws the actual terrain under your route. Since February it drew a flat line at sea level, which over the Alps made an airspace floor look reachable when the ground was already above it. It also says which elevation resolution each stretch came from, and marks gaps as "no data" instead of letting them read as flat ground. Advisory only: bare earth, no masts or towers, never a clearance figure. • Every airspace the route crosses is tappable, opening the same detail card as a map tap — at the point your route enters it, not the polygon's centre. • The Profile button existed only in the compact trip editor. On iPad and Mac, in the wide layout, it could not be opened at all. Both layouts have it now. NEW — WINDS ALOFT • Global winds aloft. Courses, ground speeds, times and fuel in the navigation log are wind-corrected for the first time — worldwide, not only over the US. Set a cruise altitude and the winds are read at it. • The log says which of four states applies: fetching, no cruise altitude set, nothing available, or applied and at what level. An empty wind column must never read as calm air. NEW — ARRIVAL WEATHER • The trip Weather tab now shows each airport's forecast for the time you will be there, beneath the current conditions, taken from the TAF period covering your estimated arrival. TEMPO and PROB groups are shown separately — a chance of IFR is not IFR. • Each arrival time says whether it is wind-corrected, and an arrival no TAF period covers says so rather than showing a forecast for a different time. NEW — MAP AND AIRSPACE • A tap now offers everything under your finger. An airport inside a CTR, under a TMA, under a FIR only ever offered the airport; the rest were reachable only by switching layers off. All of them are listed now, likeliest first, with class and vertical limits on each row. • "This Position" is always the last entry, so a position, a ruler or a briefing can be started anywhere — including on top of an airport. • An airspace's operating hours and activation conditions are now a readable weekly schedule instead of raw JSON. • Double-tap the map to fly to an annotation. NEW — WEATHER DATA • A full sync is two requests instead of about 68. The Airport Types filter goes with it: every airport gets weather now, not only the large ones. A refresh interval replaces it, 15 minutes to 6 hours. FIXED • Airspace downloads had stopped working for everyone, on every version — OpenAIP moved their data behind a paid-access bucket and anonymous downloads began failing. They now go through our own server. Countries already on the device kept working, so the failure was invisible until you added one. • An airspace ceiling filed in feet was shown as FL19500 rather than FL195, and that figure reached the proximity logic. • Region downloads resume after an interruption instead of starting over. Half of all downloads that were started never finished, and the largest packs fared worst. • A clear night was rated "Excellent conditions for VFR flight". Day and night are now shown under both the EASA/SERA and the 14 CFR definitions, and the rating is capped after dark. • Location access was requested cold, with no explanation, and a denial left no way back. It is explained first now, and recoverable. • Weather sync stopped permanently after the first low-memory warning while looking merely slow. • Aviation Data read "Zero KB" during a refresh, and a continent row claimed "0 of 52 have data" directly above "49 cached".
