Best language learning app

Tried DuoLingo and it didn’t compare. Yes there is a cost here but worth it. Used it in Brazil for Portuguese and now am using it in Tanzania for Swahili. The lessons and structure absolutely work to learn how to be conversational, not just acquiring a vocabulary. Def recommend.

Pimsleur Spanish is an excellent language learning platform. If you are serious about learning a language you won’t regret buying it.

For 10 years, the first lessons in Portuguese and Spanish on Pimsluer are always about a guy trying to pick up a woman in a random place on that country. This is the 21st Century. Why can’t the conversation be something female learners can apply, such as asking directions formally in a train station vs. this weird, creepy guy trying to pick up a female stranger? It’s just so dated and why each time I consider resubscribing, I don’t.
