Build a lifetime travel map, one pin at a time. Pin the World puts every place you've been on a spinning globe, stylised or realistic. Forgot a trip? Your photos remember: Pin the World can turn your geotagged pictures into suggested pins. Watch your world fill up, country by country.
EXPLORE THE GLOBE
The globe spins on its own, tilted like the real Earth. Every pin marks a place you've been, and their names line up on a ribbon below the globe that you can scroll through.
• Drag the globe to turn it and explore any region.
• Pinch to zoom in and out.
• Tap land or ocean to zoom in on that part of the world and see how many places you've pinned there.
• Tap a pin, or a name on the ribbon, to fly to that place and see its photos.
• Tap the back button, or double-tap anywhere on the globe, to return to the spinning globe.
• Pick your look: a clean stylised globe with crisp country borders and a latitude/longitude grid, or a realistic Earth. Both look great in Light and Dark Mode.
PIN YOUR PLACES
Build your own travel record, as simple or as detailed as you like.
• Tap "Edit Places" to add, edit, or remove places.
• Tap "+" to add a place: drop a pin on the map and the city and country are filled in for you, or type them in yourself.
• Add the date of your visit and your own notes.
• Attach up to 12 photos to each place. They appear above the globe whenever you visit that place; tap one to see it full screen and zoom in.
• Select a place in the list to edit it, or swipe to remove it.
FIND PLACES IN YOUR PHOTOS
Pin the World looks at where and when your photos were taken, and groups your geotagged pictures into suggested places for you to review.
• Each suggestion shows the place's name, when you were there, and a preview of your pictures.
• Add a suggestion with a single tap and its photos come along, or open it in the editor to fine-tune it first.
• Leave out your everyday area, around home and work, so only your trips show up.
• Only look at photos taken after a date you choose, so a new scan picks up where the last one left off.
• Access to your photo library is only requested when you open Find in Photos.
TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
See how far you've come: the number of places, countries, and continents you've visited, with a breakdown by continent and by country. Every country and every continent counts. Even the ones with just one pin are a reason to plan your next trip.
SHARE YOUR WORLD
• Record a movie of one full revolution of your globe, then share it with friends or save it to Photos (iPhone and iPad).
• Send your places to another device with AirDrop, Messages, or Files. When you open them, choose whether to replace your places or merge them in.
• Your photos stay with you: they are never included in a shared file.
MAKE IT YOURS
• Load 200 demo places to see what a well-traveled globe looks like, and remove them when you're ready to start your own. Demo places never count toward the free limit.
• Wipe everything and start fresh at any time.
• Reopen the quick guide any time from the toolbar.
MADE FOR iPHONE, iPAD, AND MAC
Pin the World adapts to every screen and window size. On iPad and Mac the place editor opens in a side panel next to the globe, so you can watch your pins appear as you add them. On Mac, browse a place's photos with the arrow keys.
Available in English, Chinese (Simplified), French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish.
