What's New in Pinglo
1.4
September 7, 2026
What's new in 1.4 • Nearby finally means nearby. The feed runs on your device's real location instead of a placeholder. Travelling? Switch to Everywhere and search every report, near or far, with no distance limit. • Push notifications are live. A sighting on your post, a claim, a new message or a report near you now reaches your phone — with a switch per category, a radius you choose, quiet hours, and a daily cap so nearby alerts never pile up. • Community Safety grew up. Alerts carry a severity — Info, Heads-up, Urgent — and run Active → Resolved, with a place map of severity-coloured pins. Any member can flag an open alert straight to the community's officials. • Direct messages inside a community. The first message is a request the other person accepts before the thread opens. Group chat rebuilt too: live refresh, timestamps, and message bubbles that behave. • Face ID gets you back into a community you've already joined — no code to retype. • Sign up with Apple or Google in fewer taps. No invented recovery answer; those accounts already recover through the provider. • Profile, points, posts and settings now live on one Account screen instead of two that overlapped. • A new icon and a new look for screen titles. • Fixes: no more stuck spinner while your profile restores after sign-in, the keyboard no longer collides with the tab bar in chat, claim outcomes show properly in Chats, and unread counts are back.
