Pinglo

Pinglo is a lost and found app that checks claims before anything changes hands. When you report something lost, you add one detail only the owner would know: a crack in the corner of the screen, a sticker under the case, the last four digits of a card. Anyone who says a found item is theirs has to give that detail. If it doesn't match, the finder doesn't hand it over. Found something? Pick what it is and its colour, then post. It takes three taps. Pinglo compares new found reports with open lost ones and tells the owner when one looks like theirs. You can add a private photo to a found item. It never appears in the feed. The person claiming it describes a detail, and the photo is shown to them only if the description matches, or if you confirm them yourself. The feed shows reports near you, or everywhere if you turn off the distance limit. Locations are rounded to about a kilometre. Once a claim is checked, you arrange the handover in a private chat, so neither of you has to share a phone number. For campuses, venues and workplaces, Pinglo also has private Communities: a feed only members can see, non-emergency safety notices marked Info, Heads-up or Urgent, a member list, direct messages that open once the other person accepts, and a group chat. After joining, members get back in with Face ID. What you can do: - Report a lost or found item, with a private detail only the owner knows - Get told when a found item looks like yours - Post a found item in three taps - Add a private photo that only the real owner can unlock - Browse reports near you, or everywhere - Get a notification when someone claims your item or messages you - Share a report as a link, so people without the app can see it - Arrange the handover in a private chat - Join a private Community for your campus, venue or workplace - Report posts and block people - Confirm when an item has been returned - Earn points for helping and swap them for badges
