User reviews

Really Fun

I am really enjoying this app thus far. I discovered it through the founder on Reddit and they are very open to consistent feedback which is always nice to see.

Really good site for car enthusiasts

Good place to track and share car builds, meet people around the world, along with mini challenges to keep up motivation.

Response from developer

Tracking the build, sharing it, meeting enthusiasts around the world, and having a few challenges for motivation, you summarized PinkSlips remarkably well.

It seems like an AI slop app

I’ve barely used the app, but I’m trying to adjust my privacy settings because I don’t really want other users to know where I’m from. Whenever I turn off a setting, it turns back on. I feel like I’m fighting one of those useless robots where the lid lifts and it flips the switch back.

Another complaint I have is that I constantly get invited to join a club or something over and over again in my email. If I haven’t accepted or declined the invite, maybe don’t let them send me another?

It seems like a really cool idea but man this initial experience has been really poor. Tell the AI to make less mistakes when you develop the next update.

Update 7/20: Still getting the JDM Division invite emails. I am just gonna delete my account I’ve given up on this app.

Response from developer

Thanks for trying PinkSlips. We’re sorry that your limited time with the app happened to center on two isolated issues while we were shipping changes to our native Settings experience. The privacy toggle could visually return to its previous state, which was a real bug and has since been fixed. We also reviewed the delivery history associated with your account and found no repeated club-invitation emails. We’ve tightened the invitation flow further so that declining an invitation will prevent that club from inviting the same user again. We do use AI-assisted development tools, as many modern software teams do, but every feature is designed, reviewed, tested, and maintained by our team. In this case, a bug slipped through, and we take responsibility for it. We’re sorry those isolated issues became your main impression before you had the opportunity to experience what PinkSlips is actually built for: documenting your vehicle in depth, exploring comparable builds, and discovering real clubs, shops, events, and automotive work. We appreciate the feedback and have used it to improve the app.

You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.

I found this app after a friend had his car posted online. Love this concept and it’s a great tool for the car community. I cannot wait to see where this goes as it grows and look forward to interacting with fellow car enthusiasts.

Response from developer

Finding PinkSlips through a friend’s shared build is exactly how we hoped these garages would travel. We’re excited to keep earning that attention as the community grows!

5 Stars - All around

Finally an app for car guys, by car guys! Easy to track all mods and get inspiration from other builds. Some aspects of the app still need a bit of fine tuning, but the perks far outweigh it! Well done!

Response from developer

Appreciate the honest balance here. Making modifications easy to track while keeping build discovery useful is central to PinkSlips, and we’re continuing to fine-tune the rougher edges.
