New version is horrible. Do not take the update
Response from developer
We hear you, and we’re sorry the redesigned table has made the game harder to play. Your specific concerns about the crowded iPhone layout, tile visibility, claim window covering the hand, and limited response time are exactly the issues we’re working to improve. We’re also actively working on a way to restore access to the original game experience for players who prefer it. Thank you for your patience and for explaining what needs attention so clearly.
Horrible Update
Was our whole fam’s go to
- Either there is a glitch in the game or everyone I’ve ever met plays “authentic Pinoy mahjong” wrong. It wants you to play with 18 tiles… and it’s all set, you don’t win. Needs to be fixed asap.
- also, you buy credits to be able to play and once you’re out of credits, you’re done. So no free option? It might make sense to pay for my mom and dad to play because they have the time but to think I have to spend some money to play a game or two is stingy.
Very sad what’s happened to the game and it makes me wonder if the had any product manager/r&d team work on this.

Your family’s story matters to us, especially the daily enjoyment Pinoy Mahjong brought your 92-year-old mom. Version 3.0.3 adds adjustable game pace, larger tile choices, easier-to-read tile faces, improved iPhone layouts, clearer claim controls, and a walkthrough that teaches each table action. We’re working to make the game welcoming for longtime players and beginners, not merely more visually elaborate. Please check the App Store page for the update; we would be honored if your family tried the refined table together.
