About

PitchHold slows music down without letting it go flat, so you can hear the fastest run on a record note by note and learn it by ear. Take a song down to half speed, a quarter, or all the way to 1/25, and the pitch stays exactly where it was: no warble and no drift. If you want the old tape effect instead, where the pitch drops with the speed, Tape Mode does that too. Mark the bar you keep stumbling over with two taps and it loops until you have it. Drag the ends, nudge them by milliseconds, and save the loops you come back to. Drop named markers through a long track and jump between them. Speed Trainer starts slow and raises the tempo a little on each pass until you are playing along at full speed. When the part you want is hard to hear, Bass Focus lifts the low end out of the mix, Reduce Vocals thins the singer, and you can listen to the left or right channel on its own. An eight-band EQ sits on the player itself. Shift the key up or down twelve semitones, or fine-tune in cents for a recording that is slightly sharp or flat against your instrument. The note helper names the note under the playhead and the bass note, and lights up the notes that are sounding. When a chord is too dense to name honestly, it shows you the notes and leaves the name out. Plug in your instrument through headphones or an audio interface to play along, record yourself, slow your own playing down to hear what really happened, and export a slowed clip. PitchHold opens MP3, M4A, AAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC and CAF files and the audio from MP4 and MOV video, from Files, iCloud Drive, your camera roll or straight from another app. Keep what you are working on in setlists. Your audio never leaves your device. There is no account and nothing is uploaded. The free version uses the full engine at full quality, with three projects, the first 90 seconds of each track and one saved loop. Pro is a one-time purchase that opens whole tracks, unlimited projects, loops and markers, Speed Trainer, live input, recording, export and setlists.
