What's New in Pitchworks
1.4.0
March 14, 2026
What's New (v1.4.0) VELOCITY HUD See max speeds for each pitch type right on the scoring screen. The velocity HUD appears to the left of the strike zone and updates as you record pitches. Tap it to share the pitcher's velocity summary via text message. BSO COUNT DISPLAY The count display now shows balls, strikes, and outs in a clear BSO format (B 2 S 1 O 2). Outs reset each inning so you always know where you stand. SEASON TAGGING Tag each session with a season like "Spring 2026" or "Fall Ball." The app remembers your last season so new sessions pick it up automatically. Filter reports by season to compare performance across different parts of the year. LEADERBOARDS The Report Card has been renamed to Leaderboards. The report screen now uses a single unified layout where you pick your report type (Custom Analysis or Leaderboards), then set shared filters for time window, session type, season, and team. Strikeout% replaces Batters per Strikeout in the Leaderboards PDF. COLOR-CODED STATS PDF report stats are now color-coded by quality tier. Blue means elite, green means good, black is average, orange means below average, and red means poor. This makes it easy to spot strengths and areas to improve at a glance. IMPROVED PDF REPORTS OBA heat map uses a cleaner white-to-red color scale Placement chart labels are bolder and easier to read Time period picker shows actual month names PITCH STREAM UPDATES Non-pitch events now show short abbreviations with colored dots (green, red, or yellow) Non-pitch event rows use a clean white background Sessions are now sorted by date HAPTIC FEEDBACK Feel a tap when you record a pitch or toggle trash mode.
